“Hope” is a terrible political/media strategy. That’s why it’s beyond time to the left to come up with a counter long term media strategy.

Trump looked like a man who was blindsided by some powerful threats from Putin. He was like a zombie. Either Putin gets his sanctions lifted and Mueller off his back or Trump gets to watch his “movies” hit #1 on every channel. Or pictures of Ivanka or whatever. He looked scared. POS traitorous pig leech.

As far as I know, there was only one translator. Putin’s. It was a very private meeting. And yes, wasn’t that clever of them. Only three people in the room, and those two are certainly not going to give up the goods. This is why presidents (nee “public servants”) are always on the record. It may be a highly classified record, but it’s still on the record.
This is also why I find it egregious enough for me to suggest that we throw Trump’s ass into Guantanamo, and let him rot until he confesses in open court.

The lies that come from the right wing noise machine overwhelm the space where truth goes looking for an audience. When we’re told that PP lies on an average of 6 times a day and those lies are archived and found to be lies by Snopes, PolitiFact, the mainstream media etc., what can the opposition realistically do to break through the RW lies other than repeating the truth.
