Discussion: Asked If He Believes Putin Or US Intel On 2016 Meddling, Trump Rants And Raves

Actually, it’s not about the truth, it’s about branding at this point.

We now have an excellent opportunity to brand Trump as a Traitor - “Traitor Trump!” (see how it just rolls off the tongue?)

So, if John Brennan and Joe Walsh both think this is impeachable, then let the word go out across the land - “He’s a Traitor!”

And if the Republican party stands by him? They’re Traitors, Too!"

And if Fox News doesn’t call them out? - “THEN THEY’RE TRAITORS, TOO! OWNED BY FOREIGNERS! TRAITORS, ONE AND ALL!!!”

Folks, we have our Army-McCarthy Hearings moment, let’s not let it pass…

:us: America!

We Have A Problem.

Yea, the right wing came up with a coherent formal media strategy back in the 70s, stuck with it and the reason the orange baby in chief gets to coddle with dictators is because that media strategy worked.

But continue to never try to better yourself (or the Dem party) if that means acknowledging and addressing failures. Just keep whining on internet comment sections and attacking anyone who points out the right-wing media machine is wining and we should do something other than whine on the internet. That surely will work!

So to recap.

  1. Our president demonstrates his cowardice as he stands next to the president of an enemy state and refuses to hold him accountable for attacks on our election process.
  2. Trump stood next to Putin while saying (in answer to whether Russia was responsible)… “I don’t see any reason why it would be”. Bald faced lies to cover Russia. Treason in action.
  3. Suddenly ALL investigation proof hinges on “the server”. Anything anything but own up to Russia being at fault.
  4. And then the end all, be all, desperate cry of the GOP is raised yet again… “But the EMAILS”.

Our president, the traitorous coward.

Dan Coates time to resign. You were just thrown under the bus. He tossed the entire IC out the window both ours and those of our allies.

There was a plan? On our side I mean. I’m sure Putin had a plan.

If you think the Dems should get their own Fox News, why do you think they haven’t tried or looked into it? Who’s the target market? Do they sit at home all day and watch TV like the retired and unemployed right-wingers in their 60s and 70s that make up Fox News viewership? Or do you expect someone to set up a losing (financially) proposition? And if so, who?

There’s nothing I like more than shouting or at the very least talking loudly enough to be heard by a lot of people. But I believe we have to start talking and branding people as traitors at a time when there’ll be an audience for it, otherwise it’s preaching to the choir. I sometimes think no one here sleeps, I know I’ve become an insomniac, but the people we need to reach en masse are enjoying summer vacations and may only start listening closer after those vacations.

Pointing out on the internet that the right wing knows how to communicate through their on-air propaganda arm accomplishes nothing.

I hear you, but see this as more like sticking the little flags in the four corners where you’re going to lay your foundation slab. Frame this moment, so when the American indictments start to get unsealed, it feeds into the same framing - “Traitors, the lot of 'em!”

This is the moment a meme was born, now we need a suitable GIF to go with it. I must be in a bad mood, because what I’m seeing in my head is one of those pictures of Mussolini hanging upside down at the gas station. Still too graphic for me at the moment, but it would have the needed punch…

Now Trump is just rubbing shit in everyone’s face to see if anyone-ANYONE-on the Republican side has any spine. If not, he and Putin can proceed full steam ahead.

A seriously losing proposition was Air America which featured Franken, Maddow, Rhodes and others but couldn’t get hold of an audience and failed. It was like the local bookseller who tries to compete with Amazon, which is Fox-like in its dominance in media.

Here’s how it works. Everyone expects the opposition, that is the Democrats, to be outraged and upset by Trump. It isn’t news.

It is news when the GOP is upset with their president.

He’d get Sebastian Gorka to replace him.

Don’t encourage him.

The behavior was so odd as to implicate probable cause for a crime, e.g. conspiracy against the United States. Isn’t anybody in Congress trying to make sure an arrest warrant has been issued to pick up the perp when he lands at Andrews?

Now that is a blast from the past. Talk about 15 min of infamy.

I think they are more surprised that their party’s name has been changed to United Russia.

Reminds me of those '80’s public service ads against drugs.

This is an old person.

This is an old person who watches too much Fox News.

How ya likin’ your president on the world stage, Greedy Old Partisans?
