There seems to be this idea on the part of the Trump administration, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell and the Republican party as a whole that when a Republican is asked a direct question and he or she gives an evasive answer that is full of lies, the lies do not count. I mean Sessions, Spicer, Conway, Devos, Price, Tillerson, Mnuchin and Zinke have all been caught telling lies on important and relevant matters well evading direct questions. All of them have defended those lies by saying because the lies were intended to evade and not answer the question asked, they donât count. Ignoring the fact that an evasion is to some extent a lie in and of itself, it really is bazar reasoning.
