we need to do what the right anti choicers do, go around taking pictures writing down license plate #'s of these people and when somethin like this happens well somethin may happen to one of their homes I’m not advocating for something like that but who knows they might not fighting fire WITH FIRE

My sister in law just got hired at planned parenthood in Spokane. They are an amazing employer, investing a great deal in training and support.
Glad I saw this here first and not in the Spokesman Review. The comments section of my local newspaper can be scary. I think it’s time to donate some money and time to planed parenthood.

No, but if students can give some of their time, energy, and advocacy to the goal of rebuilding, it can be an opportunity for the campus to show their compassion.

This is becoming terrifying. Each summer since that of 2008 has been worse than the last as the social norms that restrained latent white supremacist sentiment have frayed year by year. And now, this summer, we’re seeing one episode after another of open use of racial epithets, of Klan-style nighttime acts of intimidation and of outright white nationalist extremist violence. Abortion clinics burned, crosses and Klan rhetoric burned into yards with gasoline, cops being called in to kill or beat black or brown people for the crime of being in what the white people deemed a white neighborhood. Mass murder in a church. Beatings of hispanic and homeless people. It’s almost as if the loss of anti-gay rhetoric and violence as the last kind of violent bigotry they could practice with impunity is causing them to blow up like water heaters with a damaged escape valve.
And yet, somehow, no one in our pathetic, cowed, tame, degenerate MSM seems to be capable of discerning the pattern, noting the upsurge or, above all, of grasping the connection between the violence and the signals being sent by Fox and the entire horde of Republican candidates, starting with Trump, that all the brakes are off.

I live in Moscow Idaho, right across the border from Pullman. Our area is actually ground zero for right wing dominionism. There is a Patriarchal nasty church here in Moscow that has had its members all lathered up about Planned Parenthood for weeks. Several hundred of them protested PP a couple weeks ago, and they have memorized every word in the sting videos I am sure. That church was actually described by SPLC as fraternizer with hate groups a fewyears back (It is called Christ Church and its Pastor is Doug Wilson). It is my belief that a connection between people associated with that church and this arson will be found (though I do not know any facts that connect them now) . You should know, too, that the Planned Parenthood in Pullman serves an area of Eastern Idaho and the Idaho Panhandle that is very poor, full of college students and bereft of health and family planning services. This was a really, really low blow.

Several state investigations of Planned Parenthood have found no wrongdoing in handling fetuses, but not enough to convince the wingnuts.
But a misleading, heavily edited video that claims to show Planned Parenthood in the business of selling “baby parts”? Let’s burn the place down!

When Scott Roeder killed abortion provider George Tiller, he said he did it to deter other abortion providers and that he had knowledge of other attacks to come.
The act was clearly terrorism, and under the Bush administration, we waterboarded terrorists and justified it by saying that we had to find out what they knew about future planned activities.
As for Roeder, not only was he not waterboarded, I’m not sure anyone ever bothered to even ask him what he knew. Hmmm.

Yup.
Hard to fathom how anyone can consider themselves “pro-life” while committing arson, given the obvious risk arson poses to the lives of firefighters. But then for the extreme holier-than-thous it’s always more about imposing their will than following any sort of logically consistent moral code.

I have to agree with the other posters that have noticed an ugly trend in America, I remember some pretty awful stuff going on in the civil rights era, but back then, the outrage from the public was fierce. Perhaps it is time for all good people to start demanding that hate-speech wrapped in god and the flag no longer be tolerated. Maybe a letter-writing campaign to our Reps and the FCC and every fox affiliate and local paper is in order.
OK, my age is showing… er, social media and email?
