Discussion: Arrested Fox Anchor Was Fresh Out Of Rehab, Appeared 'Very Intoxicated'

Discussion for article #223092

If I had to work at Fox, Iā€™d probably become an alcoholic too.

Soā€¦ heā€™s a pillhead as well as a drunk?

Seeing that he works for Fox it makes perfect sense.

Lying for a living is hard on the soul.

So basically heā€™s just another conservative criminal.

Itā€™s okayā€“Greggā€™s just working on finding bottom. Once he gets there, he can begin to climb up againā€¦or not.

Fresh out of Hazelden, someone predicted this yesterday, to whomever, nice job.

I like this little tid bit: ā€œGabapentin is a painkiller that can cause drowsiness and confusion and does not mix well with alcohol.ā€

Does not mix well with alcohol is relative. Apparently the mixture did exactly what Jarret desired. Fā€™ed him up. And who can blame him? Seriously, who among us hasnā€™t walked out a treatment center and staight into the nearest bar?

This is the point at which Iā€™d like to see people stop reporting on this situation. I donā€™t like Fox Nuts or Jarrett, but I do hope he gets better. Thatā€™s made incredibly more difficult with the media focusing on him. Just because there is no question Fox would shine the light on a rival networkā€™s hostā€™s problems, doesnā€™t mean itā€™s the right thing to do here.

Tempting to say something like ā€œbut waitā€¦I thought the only people who abuse drugs are inner city minorities???ā€ but mehā€¦the guy has issues. May he get well. Perhaps if he sobers up heā€™ll be able to heal whatever mental disorder caused him to work for Faux News in the first place.

He seems to be administering the treatment for getting hooked on the evils at Faux. Problem is, the cure is itā€™s own evil.

I say Pee test every one of Fauxā€™s anchors and reporters and do it with an underfunded government agency that they would normally shit on.

This is truly sad. It doesnā€™t seem that he was in rehab very long, especially if these were some of his ā€˜personal problemsā€™.

ā€œAn officer later found three Gabapentin pills in Jarrettā€™s pocketsā€¦ā€

That sounds like they werenā€™t in a bottle to indicate he had a proper prescription.

Get well, Greg.

BTW

"Arrested Fox Anchor Was Fresh Out Of Rehab, "

Nice double entendreā€¦it does indeed appear that he had just run out of rehabilitationā€¦none leftā€¦empty.

Itā€™s fun to connect his substance abuse problems to his place of employment. It makes for good snark and schadenfreude. However, Iā€™m going to assume this is all tongue in cheek. Alcoholism knows no class nor does it care about your place of employment or how much of your soul youā€™ve sold to work there. Like any other illness, itā€™s totally nondiscriminatory. A little sympathy might be in order.

Well, wellā€¦well___Obviously, just like his GOPig-propaganda-machine employer FOX Spews, Jarrett was and is ā€œFairly Unbalanced.ā€

I donā€™t know what personal hell heā€™s been living through, and I suspect none of us do, or ever will.

I can only wish him every good wish to find the strength and the sobriety he was reaching out for.

Fresh outtaā€™ ā€˜Rehabā€™ huh?

Guess he drank it all.

Heā€™s probably in a lot of pain_____carrying all that water and bullsh*t for FOX and Murdochā€™s News Corpseā€™.

There, but for the grace of god, go I.

Jarrett was one of the few ā€œnewā€ correspondents on Court TV that I could actually listen to, understand the news, and respect his comments. During the OJ trial, I always like his segments far more than Greta (pre-face lift), and Abrahsomā€™s. We all have demons, letā€™s just hope that he can continue in his career with this hiccup.
