Discussion for article #231920
Because the Courts have nothing better to do.
Out of control police in America. What else is new?
Well what better age than 9 to start conditioning this kid. With such an early start we can make him an authority fearing ( and respecting ) cow towing citizen for 75 years or more.
In a related story the SWAT team was called out when a 7 year old boy pulled the pigtails of a classmate.
And across town a child that stuck her tongue out was given a thorough pepper spraying.
If the boy is being held in a juvenile detention center, why wouldn’t he be able to get to court?!
Obviously an important story about career criminals.
Then there’s the 9yo caught up in this ugly web of criminal cops / judges / prosecutors / etc.
Strange, but no mention of “his big for a 9yo, scary, black self”?
I read the headline as an arrest warrant issued for 9 year-old boy accused of stealing gun. The true story is even more bizarre.
Yeah, this is a good expenditure of the taxpayer dollar…
Enjoying your Police State yet?

[/quote]If he is already in a detention center why would he need to be arrested again?
P.S. Did anyone else miss-read the homepage headline as “Arrest Warrant Issued for 9-Year-Old Boy Accused of Stealing Gun.”
No, we’ll turn him into a criminal and ruin any chance this kid ever has of success.
Doesn’t the prosecutor AND the judge have some discretion here?
If he had been black, they would have gunned him down and shown the security tape on TV to explain why he was dead.
Spare the rod and spoil the child. Hopefully, he’s meeting a lot of 14-17 year old miscreants in juvenile detention he can connect with following his parole.
All those jaywalkers and litterbugs could ruin him for life?
Apparently, this is over a pack of gum not a gun. I miss-read the headline myself initially so I can see how one could make the mistake.
I believe that is “kowtowing,” but I’m enjoying the mental picture of someone driving down the road towing a cow behind him.
True story: I’m getting an eye exam for new prescripition lenses…so I can better focus on the tiny words on my monitor screen. Lol. guM, guN, whatev…
I’m assuming that they put him in the Detention Center after he did not appear in court the second time and the warrant was issued. I guess they had to arrest him because they couldn’t suspend his driver’s license.
I can’t think of another case that so well illustrates how dysfunctional our whole criminal justice system is.
