because in his day, you could beat citizens freely without threat of retribution. I’ve never met a cop who doesn’t think a) their lives are more valuable then the rest of ours, b) they are ALWAYS right, c) that society should worship the ground they walk on because they knowingly walked into a job with known occupational hazards

Honestly…I…every article I read that has GOPer in it, I expect a gut punch of stupidity that always makes me sigh in extraordinary disbelief. It’s really like someone punches me. I’m having an internal struggle because I’m beginning to truly hate these people instead of just pitying them. I’m becoming a racist. I hate conservative white people. I’m white, for the record. I don’t want to be a racist against conservative white people…fakeGod knows I do not want to be. But, alas, I am.

AZ and ME are in a heated competition today fighting desperately for the most effed up government traveling trophy.
So let the cops carry a small radio transmitter to shut off any security cameras in their vicinity and keep their actions safely secret. It would have the added benefit of tipping off criminals when cops got in their vicinity, but whatever, the point is to take away yet another right from citizens going about their lawful activities.

yeah! This was my first thought. Nothing like a vague law to expand a cop’s potential to abuse his power. If they see anyone taping them, they will arrest or ticket, regardless of feet. It will be their word versus the person video taping them.

I bet if there was a guy named Billy Bob open carrying near by he’d have no problem. Because the 2nd Amendment (and a weird interpretation of the 10th) are all that matter.
The 1st is only an issue for them when a bigot loses something for being exposed as a bigot.

This guy is a real authentic dim bulb. I’m wondering if he has seen the image of the Philly cop getting assaulted. That’s a damned grainy image.
This guy’s bill is a direct infringement on freedom of speech in that we should be free to film whatever and wherever we please outside of certain military considerations. Should this be taken to court it would go down in flames.
