There is even more bad news for Democrats…the generic party poll has Democrats going down from 11% last November to a mere 5% advantage at the present time. By Nov. 6, 2018, a general red wave will be formed to kick out as many RINOs as possible from Congress.
Cognitive dissonance.

There just baiting him so he comes out of hiding and gets back to the TWITTER MODE.
Better ratings ahead. lol
No mention of whether this is meaningful or an outlier—poll findings are waste of space. josh really should be avoiding clickbait, horse race junk like this.
And, as a social worker much, if not all, of her income has government sources.
For many, the power of celebrity and the illusion of accomplishment are much stronger than the reality of incompetence and the absence of any sense of decency.
His polls fluctuate…big deal. GOP lost PA-18 b/c the tax cut was not only viewed as ineffective but also caused fear that it would result in cuts to social programs.
I expect the bad news of the last few weeks will impact his approval rating within a week or two. Gallup, which polls weekly, saw his approval rating drop 1 point from 40 to 39. AP and CNN which poll monthly show a jump. When you don’t poll regularly, you can make a couple of shifts to hype the narrative, like increasing the # of white males among the respondents.
Just stay mad and vote.
Well 30 years of constant right wing propaganda that trickle down economics works will do that to people (that and ‘evil liberal’ propaganda). The Dems are in the bed they made by never fighting back against that propaganda (or just incompetence in doing so).
My entire life the right had been screaming that everyone is just a temporary embarrassed millionaire, an unregulated economy is democratic and fair, the progressive tax system is ‘communist’, and the rich deserve better treatment because they are better people. And the Dems response that whole time has been to fumble and say ‘We also love the market, we’re not anti-rich, anyone can make it too, don’t call me a liberal’. And now the Dems look around shocked that a few bucks from a trickle down tax cut buys off the loyalty of half the electorate.
This poll, if consistent with other recent ones, proves many Americans are just plain stupid.
Before we all panic, let’s see if other polls come to a similar conclusion.
“Forty percent think it (steel and aluminum tariffs) will lead to an increase in consumer prices, while 39 percent think it will lead to a decrease.”
Now, I’m the furthest thing from an economist, but in my time on this rock I’ve never seen a situation where the price of raw materials increasing led to the price of finished goods decreasing. Unless:
-
The manufacturer eats the extra cost (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!)
-
The manufacturer eats the extra cost and takes the difference out of employee wages.
Win?
Hey, I live next to an elementary school, there’s more than a few Trump bumper stickers on the teacher’s cars. Our assistant librarian has an SUV with huge letters spelling Trump on the back window. Then there’s this:
Jeremy Marshall, who has a master’s degree and earns about $50,000 a year teaching at an elementary school, has long worked a second job — first mowing lawns, now as a home inspector.
After Indiana’s Republican legislature rolled back teachers’ bargaining rights and tied their pay to student test scores a few years ago, Jeremy said, he missed out on what otherwise would have been an automatic $12,000 raise. He said he voted for Mr. Trump, but in statewide elections he supports Democrats, who are union-friendly.
Sort of like going upstream to dump your waste.
That’s a FoxNews poll, and not to be taken seriously.
There will be no “Red Wave” in November.
But there will be a Blue Tsunami.
I hate to be such a downer, but… panic.
These show a consistent trend upward from a bottom of 36.4% in mid-December to 41.1% today.
Exactly, this is the base Republicans worrying about 2018 elections answering approvingly.
So what?
The unfit, unqualified, racist birther scumbag will NEVER get above 45%. And from the outset, he’s been consistenly unpopular. I don’t even think he’s breached the 50 percent barrier at all.
We know by now that there is a consistent 29% of CHUDs who will support him no matter what. So you have a 10-15 percent number of (most likely) so-called “independents” who are Republican-lite, and who have accepted an unfit, unqualified, racist birther scumbag as just having a few faults. Direct your opprobrium at them, but for the love of Koresh, don’t get into a handwringing, pants-pissing panic about it.
I would note that we’ve had elections all through the month of March and GOP participation and turnout are down and Dem turnout and participation are up. Indies are shifting Dem. We won an election in PA-18 just 2 weeks ago, a place where we’re not supposed to win. Costello is quitting an important PA district. Ryan might be on the verge of resigning. Gun control has become a net positive for Dems, particularly in suburbs, which the GOP depends on to hold its majority. The tax cut isn’t helping on any of those issues.
I would also note the following for context:
In 2010, Dems were tied or led in the Congressional ballot in 48 polls. GOP led in probably twice as many. The point is that polls fluctuate but the narrative throughout 2010 was that Dems were in trouble and the reason was relative voter intensity on each side and the national mood.
Here are PPP’s numbers:
Trump Approval: 39/54, which is the worst in PPP’s surveys. They’ve generally had him in the 40s, even when everyone else had him in the high 30s.
Congressional ballot: 50 D - 39 R. Among very excited voters: 55-39 (Dems). Among Indies 44-30 (Dems).
Well you have a good point, one I haven’t thought about.
Heather Dillydally Republicangrl needs to fill out a new W-4 pronto. Because Trump’s Treasury pressured employers to apply the old withholding tables to the new rates and most people are going to get a hell of a shock next April if they don’t.
I personally was being underwithheld several thousand dollars. Apparantly, my taxes actually went up under the new law.
