Meanwhile, the news is filled with tales of Trump shtupping porn stars and paying them to shut up about it. This surprises absolutely no one. It doesn’t change us from supporters to detractors, and it makes his base like him more.
Anger, manipulation, tribalism.
This is the result of having a good segment of Americans only getting their news from propaganda sources.

The article ignores an important bit of context: Trump’s numbers are going up because he’s in trouble and because he is under threat from so many quarters. Bill Clinton’s approval #s went up by @ 15 points during the lead up to Impeachment. Circling the wagons is an inevitable response to feeling besieged.
The key question is what is the ceiling? Right now the ceiling seems very low.
Wars of attrition are protracted, ugly and have many ephemeral gains and losses that seem significant in the moment, but flatten out long-term.
And abject ignorance.
What got me was that she was a social worker. How could someone do social work and not be aware of the number of social welfare programs out there in desperate need of government funds?
Full disclosure – this tax cut nets me about an additional $70 a month and my wife sees about $110 a month, so an extra $180 a month does go a long way.
But I would gladly trade-in this $2,160 a year bribe to restore America’s democracy and repair the damage done to her by this wannabe mafioso posing as a president. Sadly, this poll shows many Americans disagree with that.
