Carson is a charlatan of such magnitude it would make PT Barnum blush.
I love the smell of “propaganda” in the morning.
Grifters of a Feather Flock Together.
It’s the gop/bag way.
It’s OK if you are a republican.
OT - I’m guessing Costa is the guy on the right in the picture, but if I don’t look outside of TPM, I guess I’ll never know.
I hope he wins the clown car primary!
Since the general would be so, so fun!
More popcorn, please!
Smoking gun with the bullet aimed at and hitting the heart of Dr. Carson’s public moral persona with the trigger pulled by Dr. Carson himself?
To be fair, every single GOP candidate gives Christianity a bad name.
Ben Carson is a Rick Scott Republican? Who could have guessed?
“Pallin’ around with felons”
Um, Pittsburgh ‘Stealers’? Freudian slip perhaps? Correction: Steelers.
There are more & better reasons than this to reject Carson’s candidacy completely. How is this different, really, from a money buddy like Rick Scott or Sheldon Adelson or the Kochs? Even some Dems have had skeezy money buddies, including the Clintons. “Behind every great fortune lies a great crime.” —Balzac, from a bad translation
I’m not convinced he’s smart enough to pull off the charlatan act. He may actually be a surgical idiot-savant who stumbles and bumbles through the rest of world, never really understanding the implications of what he’s doing, and simply repeating whatever nonsense (“Obamacare is like Hitler! Taxes are like slavery!”) he’s heard other people around him say.
That’s my working theory, anyway, and I defy any so-called “professional Egyptian archaeologist” to prove me wrong.
It is certainly possible he’s a Chauncy Gardner who likes to do brain surgery rather than gardening.
I also think it is possible to have kooky ideas and be a huckster at the same time.
Another possibility is that the people around him see him as a money making puppet they can exploit.
Carson’s followers will go to Cruz.
“Ben Carson’s …close friend convicted of defrauding insurance companies and testified on his behalf,…Costa pleaded guilty to a felony count … (that) carries a potential sentence of up to 10 years in federal prison, Costa was able to avoid prison time after Carson helped petition a federal judge for leniency.”
But…but…but…Tony Rezko!
Absolutely. But Carson lacks the awareness to recognize that for what it is.
“We became friends about a decade ago because we discovered that we were so much alike and shared the same values and principles that govern our lives,” Carson told the judge, adding that their families vacationed together and that they were involved in “joint projects.”
Is that so? Then maybe the good doctor needs to be investigated as well? Sounds practically like an admission of guilt.
Carson was the “expert witness” on behalf of paramedics who had injured a man so badly that he is now paralyzed. He received $2500. for a half day’s testimony.
Many people recognize Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis (“The Bus” when he played for Pittsburgh Steelers–not Stealers).
