This morning’s daily poll at MSN homepage shows that 52% of the 186,345 people who responded blame the Democrats in Congress for the shutdown and 45% blame dotard. Only 1% feel the GOP controlled congress is to blame. Admittedly the population of the poll is heavily weighted Republican but this is how effective the information they are getting from their media sources is.

When I was a working journalist, the Associated Press was the gold standard in trust. Their reporting was always solid and they were the foundation for the info stream that flowed through newsrooms across the country. That now seems like a long time ago. They can’t be trusted without question and their talent pool is shallow as a rain puddle.

Oh I realize it is unscientific information but it is still and indication of what our fellow Americans from the other side of the aisle believe because that is what their information sources feed them. Every now and then the daily poll will include questions about age, sex and political party leanings which reveal that most of the participants are over 50, mostly male caucasians and mostly GOP leaning. It is as close as I want to get to actually going to right wing media news sites to see the BS they are ladling out to gullible viewer/listeners. It is a blurry snapshot, nothing more.
