Discussion: Another Fox News Host Comes Out Against Trump After Putin Presser

No.

There ain’t gonna be no tipping point.

A few of the diehard Trumpians will huff and puff and puff and puff but will eventually move on.

What I want to know is, how do his supporters begin to reconcile this?

Many of his supporters are old enough to remember the Red Scare of the 50’s and 60’s. How do they come around to the point where this doesn’t raise even the smallest issue for them?

For many of his supporters, anything 45 does to hurt the ‘other’ is a good thing, but this doesn’t even come close to hurting anyone but them.

From this weekend’s FT. Trump could rob people of their jobs and farms in the middle of 5th Ave, and they’d still stand by him.

For one idea, it is hard to believe that every single Republican is on board with this. Why not work in the background to build the coalition that might be able to do something?

It’s getting serious out there. Last night, I’m on the plane to Boston and I have CNN on. During the ‘2000’s’ broadcast, I saw, for the first time, the commercial to start the Trump impeachment. Now, I don’t watch much in the way of news channels - gave up most if not all broadcast news the day after the 2016 election - but that had me dumbfounded that there’s finally getting to be enough of a call for action.

Yes, and I saw the Kavanaugh commercial this weekend too. It left dear hubby wondering what the hell to do with this information. Told him the idea was to encourage people to call their Senators to confirm this guy. He still thought it was a dumb idea.

The tipping point? Into what?

We fell into the toilet long ago.

The question now is how do we get out.

And how would we know if they are? They may well be. Background like you said.

Not everything has to be done in the spotlight.

Look, I appreciate the Dems letting the GOP self-destruct, but I do agree that at some point the Dems may have to help it along a little bit.

He’s getting quite a bit of pushback from some GOPper’s. Joe Walsh says if it means becoming a NeverTrumper than so be it. Joe is an idiot and I’m sure if he ever decides to run again, all will be forgiven. However, if more take the braver stand, this could work.

The Economist noted that our voting system favors the rural population, especially ultrarurals who tend to be white, weighting the system structurally about 4 points to the Republicans favor. Why would you vote with the disadvantaged party? It would prevent professional advancement and always be an uphill struggle. But if you farm soy, boy, did you get screwed.

And Hannity won’t jump ship until Mueller indicts him and Trump forgets his name.

He already supported the Putin-Trump meeting as a positive thing. Let’s see what he has to say about the presser.

IT counts for a lot more when it’s his party.

That’s all I can say here - we are not going to be able to add anything to this. Not really.

Anyway - I have an appointment. Later.

Well, crap. I’d just finished Fifth Sense and was looking forward to reading the sixth and final book of the series, and you cram this spoiler down my throat.

Trump has not lost Fox. At most, Fox may or may not have lost a couple talking heads.

Not just Trump voters. Righteous, indignant anti-Clinton voters. Too pure to vote for the Democrat.
