Discussion: Andrea Mitchell Remembers Senators 'You Would Not Get In An Elevator With'

Discussion for article #226981

Maybe I’m stupid (and many would agree) but I just realized old white men run congress just like they’d run a corporation.

The panel went on to discuss other issues around treatment of women in the Senate, such as the lack of accommodations for female members of Congress caring for children or working during pregnancy.

Indeed.

Yup. They don’t want women there, they want them anywhere else but in their club.

“The same day her stories came to light, a reporter for Politico tweeted he didn’t believe her, before backing down and apologizing.”

Puhleeeeeze, there are no “reporters” at Politico, the Tiger Beat of the Potomac, only stenographers.

Sorry… no evidence of that.

Maybe we should know what these females were wearing, perhaps they are dressing in a manner that leads people to believe they are slutty.
Or maybe they should learn to speak to the male Senators in a more respectable manner.

Do we have pics of these females smoking marajuana or dancing suggestively to rap music…?

We need to investigate this further and not jump to conclusions here - there are two sides to this.

Until then, I challenge this story. Sorry, I don’t believe it.

I wonder what ol’ Clarence is doing these days? I mean besides staring at his navel and tugging on his robe while others speak.

They’re probably knocking back shots of Jaeger, provocatively.

We all exist because of thousands upon thousands of generations of men who were unable (or refused) to moderate their inappropriate behavior. Such behaviors are now vestigial, and yet they serve to alert other members of the species that certain people are—in terms of evolutionary psychology—poison. Like putrescine. Or an elephant lapel pin.

Mitchell has been a reporter for how long? And she never thought this was newsworthy?

Nice reporting, Andrea. Beltway insiderism at its finest

Let’s be real. If she reported anything of the kind back then she would have been laughed at (at best) or accused of trying to bring a politician down.

And this is newsworthy and appropriate today because she is backing up a Senator that still has to deal with it.

And yet we hear “married” women prefer Republicans and let’s face it, they are by far the most egregious offenders. There may be a Democrat or two but nothing like the Grand Old Pigs.

She has presumably had sex with Anal Greenspan, since well, they are married.

As a young man, Anal was one of Ayn Rand’s boy toys.

Andrea has had sex…with someone who has had sex with…Ayn Rand?

My nonexistent Goddess. She must have to do a “feminine cleansing” with Oxi-Clean® after that.

Eew…
Just…eew

The gentlemans’ private clubs are where they want their women. Anywhere else they’re an intrusion on the natural order of things.
