Discussion: Andrea Mitchell Remembers Senators 'You Would Not Get In An Elevator With'

“the oldest white RICH male club in the world.”

That was my thought, rich, spoiled and privileged being the biggest issue.

It seems Gillibrand has opened an entire can of squirming worms here. Let’s hope others add their two cents too.

Here is an open secret known by every woman who has spent any time in the Halls of Congress and a Politico reporter didn’t know. How does that happen?

Why won’t Nick Confessore and Alex Burns demand that Andrea Mitchell name names? Double standard?

Politico reporters—to use that word very loosely—know nothing of consequence.
That is why they work for Politico, which functions as the steno pool for the GOP.

Absolutely, and I’m kind of annoyed with both she and Gillibrand for not naming names. This is something the public should know about their elected members of Congress.

Isn’t Andrea Mitchell married to a giant lizard in a suit?

Before her marriage to a youthful Alan, she called the Senate the Mr. Goodbar gift box…

Googled Bob Packwood. Instantly discovered the creepiest picture you’ll see today:

She is worthless as a reporter/journalist. Why she is given the accolades she is, is beyond me. NBC treats her like their little star. Her show has to be the worst performing show they have.

It’s like @CTVoter pointed out yesterday, it could be a career limiting move for them to go public.

When I first read this yesterday I thought about what I would’ve done if my wife had a similar experience. Of course I would’ve let her handle it however she felt best.

Many of the floozies are probably taking birth control pills. And not just occasionally, every single day!

God forbid that journalist report this behavior around the time it’s happening, I guess. What is the press for? Stenography?

Andrea Mitchell won’t name the Senators you didn’t get on an elevator with in the late 1980s-early 1990s but I will - Bob Packwood, Strom Thurmond, Chris Dodd, Ted Kennedy, Al D’Amato, Brock Adams. Feel free to add more if you know them.

The gulf between the generations is so far we can barely see each other, widening at the rate of Moore’s Law. Correction is coming, esp. as those who understand what a frigging data network is begin to take the reigns of power from Senator Clueless T. Pinchbottom.

If only. Then two of them could retire with a pile of money, while the rest get kicked to the curb.

Doesn’t Mrs. Greenspan have an obligation to identify these miscreants by name for engaging in conduct that would surely result in successful sexual harassment litigation if one of our great white male CEO’s ever did such a thing?

Speaking on behalf of all whitemansplainers, from the Olympian heights of objectivity conferred by the fact that I am highly unlikely ever to find myself in a situation where my livelihood and ability to continue being effective in my profession depends upon my willingness to accept such indignities, I must emphatically say “yes.”

And now that that’s out of the way, I would also like to give some helpful pointers to black people about how to properly respond to being stopped by the police without being beaten or shot that have always worked for me.

Let us not forget that the last Senate Majority leader that the Republicans had was Trent Lott, a racially divisive Mississippi politician, who frequented and spoke at gatherings and collaborated with white supremacists. This was not a Republican from Reagan’s generation and the 60’s folks – it was the last Republican majority leader! Also, the last Republican nominee for President, Mitt Romney, the severely conservative vulture capitalist, tax cheat and pension thief, wanted Hispanics to self-deport.

Propagandists…
