Discussion for article #229362
Why is this news? Because he didn’t drop his name and throw a “Do you know who I am” hissy fit?
Slow news day?
Too bad it wasn’t a lunch counter/s
Who cares?
Folks, folks, it’s on the site because it’s a little moment where a powerful person gets turned down like the rest of us might. Not a big deal, just a mildly amusing thing if you think it is.
Who is he?
-
If the place was full, shouldn’t he have been turned away, whoever he was?
-
If the place wasn’t full, and I was the maitre-d’, and I knew who he was, I’d have turned him away anyway.
It would have been a much better story if she HAD recognized him and THEN refused to seat him.
Life is full of difficult decisions: kick him to the curb or find a way to get him a seat so you can spit in his eggs? I honestly don’t know which one I would pick.
Used to be a nobody, and if he thinks he’s now somebody, the restaurant hostess showed him the error in his thinking. Still a nothing burger of a story. .
Good for the hostess and good for Alito. I think more of him now.
This is a story?
Oh great. Now hostesses won’t be able to marry or something. Watch this space. Or maybe Buzzfeed.
Don’t know if I would go so far as to say I think more of him, but I don’t think less of him like I would have if he had gone all “do you know who I am?”
Most. Boring. Story. Ever.
Good job hostess! Give her a raise!
I got turned away from brunch at The Inn at Turkey Run State Park in Indiana Sunday noon time. Want the details and a photo for a story? You could interview my wife, who was VERY disappointed. I have footage of the park’s fall foliage…even a video around the covered bridge!
He does look a little crazy without his glasses.
I don’t agree with him politically but kudos for him for not dropping the “You know who I am” card.
Must be no excitement over the midterms for this to be a headlined story.
Happens to me all the time, but I don’t take offense. I don’t know who I am either.
