Young is sucking on the government teat. I guess he should take his own āadviceā.
Well, you take the now-familiar cartoonish Republican talking points, mix in a truculent, antagonistic personality, and filter it through and 81-year-old brain that may well have seen better days, and mamma mia, thatās a spicy meatball.
Whatās the oil dividend all Alaskans will get gonna come to this year? $1000? Oil is down, but it still a nice chunk of change. But how many suicides will it cause? Iām concerned.
Iām not so sure about that part. Itās not as if Young was once a shining beacon of political thought.
Rather fewer than seasonal affective disorder and cabin fever, which have been killing Alaskans since long before their was an oil industry, I suspect.
And letās face it, they like politicians who are either brazenly corrupt, barely competent to write their own names or suffering from severe personality disorders up there. When they hit the trifecta with Sarah, it strained things a bit, but fortunately, she saved them from any future ballot dilemmas by quitting.
There must be no oxygen remaining in the Ā® bubble.
Thereās no other explanation for these brain-dead pronouncements pre-election.
Please.
(D) voters. Vote!
Make them pay at the ballot box for these idiocies.

āWhen people had to work and had to provide and had to keep warm by putting participation in cutting wood and catching the fish and killing the animals, we didnāt have the suicide problem,ā
Right on, comrade!
And why does he have a family member with a problem, if he has all the answers?
I agreeā¦ Therefore, we should stop the tax breaks and other advantages that the wealthy and powerful get from government.
Itās true. Every day across the rural midwest, recipients of agricultural subsidies are jumping off grain silos, throwing themselves in front of their threshers, and hanging themselves on slaughterhouse meathooks because of their deep depressions over receiving taxpayer-provided largesse.
Itās a sad counterpart to the horrific spectacle we see every day in Manhattan of execs at the major corporate headquarters throwing themselves out of their 45th floor office windows because of the tax breaks they receive from government.
Out of concern for his mental health and survival, Rep. Young should be given a paycut.
I wonder how he could twist his stupid statements to justify the incredible suicide rate of our military soldiers over the last 10 years. You know, being they all worked for the government and are separated from there familes to fight for survival and rely on idiots like this for support.
Failure begins with this idiot obviously.
Government freebies are the cause of everything wrong in America. Gettinā somethinā fer nothinā leads to everything from the acute mania to African consumption to the wandering uterus. When we was kids, we didnāt have time for all that self-pity nonsense. Weād take out our snowmachines and go huntinā moose and bar and muskox until we couldnāt find āem anymore. I guess thatās just what God wanted. No more bar or moose or muskox. Weād take the best parts and throw away the rest. And that made us happy. Except when momma made bar soup with heart and liver. Never failed to give me the agita. Where was I? Oh yea. You kids stay off my lawn! And donāt take freebies so you donāt do the suicide. Go huntinā or fishinā. Go watch cows have intercourse.
There must be something in the water in Wasilla that brings out the stupidity in politicians.
Why blame the federal government? Doesnāt Alaska give $10K a year to every man, woman and child in the state? Seems to me thatās a much bigger handout than anything the feds do for everyone regardless of need.
Were government handouts the reason for suicides, the class of one percent plutocrats would all be swinging by their own belts by now.
So the solution to poverty and to suicide (not to mention a whole host of other things, no doubt) is to force the poor unwashed masses to live in small agrarian communes?
Didnāt somebody try that already?
Hahaā¦so trueā¦can go so many ways with that. One would also think that if govāt handouts were the cause of suicide, the 1% would be scrambling to hand them outā¦at least to ācertainā folksā¦gotta maintain a small remainder as labor of course.
