Is there some sort of toxic cloud hanging over Alabama that makes so many people do vile and despicable things??

Bribery of government officials particularly if they are conservative christian republican governors is already legal according to the solomonic Roberts’ Supreme Court. Why not legalize theft of taxpayer money?

If things don’t work out for her in Alabama, she could do well as the next governor of Illinois.

This skank just has to hire Judge Roy (hi, want to go to Chucky Cheese on a date?) Moore to represent her.

Thank you to Allegra, Josh, and the TPM team for engaging in this kind of in-depth, well-researched journalism. Local corruption flourishes so easily in the absence of the sunlight that so many local media outlets can’t provide or lack adequate resources to properly cover.

We pray you do hard time in the slammer for depriving those with whom you will be incarcerated.
They’ll be real happy to see you

Rump’s too old to bang, so I guess a woman who wants to audition for The Apprentice: MAGA needs to get creative if she’s to out-sleaze the men.

I hear they like sheriffs like her in Arizona!

I read this and thought her mistake was being in Alabama. She belongs in New York real estate.

Are they insinuating that a good ol’ boy sheriff is abusing his power in rural Alabama?

Bet he voted for Moore, twice…

When a state is run in a manner akin to a religious cult, what do you expect?

A sheriff. In Alabama.
What could possibly go wrong?

Or in the Trump Administration.

Hmmm, Sheriff in Alabama is “unaware of the law”. Why am I not surprised?

Also, Sheriff, from what I understand of your evangelical god, he doesn’t cotton to kindly to prayers without repentance. Might be something for all of you evangelical fucks to consider.

"The South shall Rise “A’Gin!”

That pretty much covers it.

The desire to go back to the Antebellum South with the tiny white aristocracy firmly in control and the poor either enslaved (if not white) or destitute and desperate for any crumbs the aristocracy throws their way (all the while the aristocracy pits the poor white against the slaves to keep them too busy hating each other to rise up against them.)
Sound familiar?

I bet there are a lot of embezzlers who would love to claim “bad legal advice” and just pay back some of the money on the installment plan.

Yes. It’s ignorance and indifference under the guise of Christianity. As an Alabamian, I’ve had to endure it all my life. :persevere:
