Discussion: Aide: Christie ‘Flat Out Lied’ About Staff Not Being Involved In Bridgegate

I want Kelly to pay as well. Sorry for her kids – but she should have has their best interests at heart long before this shit started hitting the fan. She’s as no good as Christie and needs to pay for her role in this scandal. If folks like her keep getting off or getting just a slap, then what kind of message does that send to others in similar situations? She literally made a conscious choice to break the law, wasn’t coerced, etc., and didn’t make the decision under duress.

It is no longer IOKIYAR. Now it’s IYARYAL–If you are Republican, you’re a liar.

Porky Pig’s political career is over. Can Porky spell perjury? Porky will definitely slim down on prison chow.

He makes you wish for McGreevey.

I get the sense that Chris “Krispy Kreme” Christie fancies himself to be a Tony Soprano-like figure. Above the law and dishing out favors and revenge. I can’t wait to watch Krispy doing the perp walk - it has to happen at some point.

[[Of course, I have been waiting years for the opportunity to watch that fucking war criminal Karl Rove do the perp walk. It hasn’t happened yet, so maybe I should temper my excitement vis-a-vis Krispy.]]

It would be wrong if you weren’t smiling.

Well, in my experience it’s always been IYARYAL, certainly since the late 1960’s.

Sadly, that has absolutely no effect whatsoever on the enduring truth of IOKIYAR.

There goes that “corrupt media” again, accurately reporting what people said and the content of their e-mail messages. How sad…that Christie is still allowed to serve as governor of New Jersey. To borrow a phrase from the Rethuglicans, “Lock him up! Lock him up!” (After indictment, trial and conviction, of course.)

Yes, especially after yesterday was the 42nd anniversary of Nixon’s resignation, the whole gamut of Republican misdeeds is passing before my eyes.

I wish someone would ask .
Would you have pursued such childish shit if you’d known it would be career ending?

Unfortunately, McGreevey’s mistake was appointing the man he was having an affair with as the national security czar of New Jersey, when he was completely unqualified. Had that not happened, I don’t think the fact that he was gay, or cheating on his wife, would have cost him the Governorship. I could be thinking in today’s frame of mind, instead of what it was like back in 2004, however, I think he could have weathered the storm had it just been coming out gay (or being outed, I should say), and cheating. Your thoughts?
