One reason that I would switch to the republican party is because once you’re in, you need never have the emotion shame again. It’s like being baptized in the river Lethe and all your shame is washed away, never to return. Must feel wonderful.

Lesson for Dems: think of the worst thing that Republicans will accuse you of, then do it. They’re not going to give you credit for forbearance in any case. Their absurd accusations actually create room for action.

100 judicial confirms during 115th Congress (2017-18), plus 7 in 116th Congress (2019).
This is 330% increase over Obama’s last 2 years for 114th Congress (32 confirms).

By comparison, last Dem Senate was 113th Congress (2013-14) with 154 judicial confirms.

In terms of civilian nominations, the tortoise is also speaking out of his ass. Trump has not even nominated half of positions, but 78% of “key positions” nominated, 52% confirmed. Let’s not forget that Trump had basically no transition team, and has stated that he intends not to fill many of the positions.
U.S. Senate confirms 1212 total positions, 705 regarded as “key positions”. As of Sep 2018, 364 of Trump’s nominees for key positions were confirmed, 181 were awaiting confirmation, total of 552 positions. Trump has said he intends not to fill many of the positions.

I understand. But when others have posted the same wishes on 45* - that he be incapacitated - I always think of the (mainly) women who will have to tend to him. I don’t want any human being to have to attend to McConnell’s every need. No, it would hurt him far more to be removed from power.

Well, removing from power is a given in my scenario. But you’re right about the poor women (undoubtedly immigrants) who would have to tend him. I hadn’t thought of that. I hadn’t thought of anyone tending him because he’s inhuman.
