Discussion: After Years Of Blocking Obama’s Nominees, McConnell Slams Dems’ ‘Historic Obstruction’

“Since January 2017, for the first time in memory, a minority has exploited procedure to systematically obstruct a President from staffing up his administration,” McConnell wrote.

“This new, across-the-board obstruction is unfair to the President and, more importantly, to the American people.”

"Trump himself has suggested an understaffed bureaucracy might be more of a feature rather than a defect of his administration. He told Forbes in an October 2017 interview:

"I’m generally not going to make a lot of the appointments that would normally be — because you don’t need them," he says. “I mean, you look at some of these agencies, how massive they are, and it’s totally unnecessary. They have hundreds of thousands of people.”

Mitch McConnell, the grave digger of American democracy.

I have to admit that this thought is not a rare occurrence; it’s almost a mantra.

At sometime Mitch and his tribe leached out EACH AND EVERY hypocricy gene they ever might have possessed and become stunted inferior human beings. And Republicans have made me a racist.

Democrats have amazing powers. For two years, while in the minority, they’ve magically prevented trump from even nominating candidates for senate-confirmable posititions.

Maybe this is how McConnell does April Fools.

A statement like that demonstrates a level of chutzpah heretofore unseen in this world. I dare say turtle-face McConnell could power a large city with such hypocrisy, and I think I speak for a great many of us when I tell him not-so-politely to go fuck himself.

The man who broke the Senate, the Presidency is now aiming to break the courts. The man is despicable.

ANd silver, and bronze.

The man has 38% approval rating in his own state. But I’m guessing the Democrats aren’t even thinking about mounting a serious challenge.

Technically, Thune is next in line.

If this doesn’t convince the voters of the Commonwealth of Kentucky that it is (way, waay, waaay past) time to bring Mitch home nothing will. I’m sure they have some nice memory care units in Louisville.

I hate this man with the fury of a thousand suns and wish him extreme pain and suffering. First time I’ve ever written a sentence like that, which makes me sad that someone has provoked such horrible feelings in me. My loathing of Trump doesn’t come close.

Mitch is complaining…even though spineless Chuckie boy Schumer caved in on the Republican fast track for Trump’s incompetent and right wing picks for the courts.

Schumer, like Mueller, is too old for the gun fight with Republicans and should step down and allow ayoung gun to take over and really show Mitch what it his draconian obstruction feels like.

Screw bipartisan ship…this is class warfare and a civil war that was started long ago by Republicans and Corporate masters. Can you spell Kock, Buffet, Gates, Ross, and every major bank and Fortune 50 corporations!!

Government of the corporation - period! And Mitch is their despot.

Turtle knows he’s lying through his rotting teeth, but that’s exactly his intention. The only important thing to him is that he’s overseen the appointment of 2 Supremes and he may get a third. To the unethical, immoral, mendacious GOP, those are massive victories that will have far-reaching implications for the next 30 years.

The only appropriate response to anything McConnell ever says is hysterical laughter.
