Discussion: After Trump's Anti-DOJ Rage-a-Thon, His Lawyer Swears He's Not About To Ax Mueller

Shouldn’t he be doing some presidentin’ instead of spending all his time saving his fat ass?

Trump’s definition of “conflict of interest”: if the party in question fails to answer ‘yes’ to the question, “Did you vote for me?”

Yup, it is all about loyalty to Trump rather than loyalty to the country.

Of course Trump won’t fire Mueller. The person who replaces Rosenstein will do it, and Trump will claim he had nothing to do with it.

“[T]he White House yet again confirms that the President is not considering or discussing the firing of the Special Counsel, Robert Mueller,” Cobb said.

Cobb sounds exasperated that nobody seems to believe statements being put out by the White House. But surely he must know that a trademark of this administration is flat out lying; people just want to know when this particular lie will be consummated.

For someone who claims there was no collusion, Dotard sure feels the need to repeat himself every…single…day. Pathological really.

What Cobb’s statement is worth:

Well, yes–one would think. But with him, when feeling tasked, it’s like Ahab looking at the doubloon:

“There’s something ever egotistical in mountain-tops and towers, and all other grand and lofty things; look here, - three peaks as proud as Lucifer. The firm tower, that is Ahab; the volcano, that is Ahab; the courageous, the undaunted, and victorious fowl, that, too, is Ahab; all are Ahab; and this round gold is but the image of the rounder globe, which, like a magician’s glass, to each and every man in turn but mirrors back his own mysterious self.”

And the corollary to this: Despite the protestations of innocence, keep on behaving in exactly the way a very guilt-ridden person would behave.

“Trump’s Anti-DOJ Rage-a-Thon.”

"Do not go gentle into that lost fight,
Old Trump should burn and rave at the woes from DOJ;
Rage, rage against the dying of the Right."

(Apologies to all Welshmen)

He doesn’t know how to do anything remotely presidential even if he wanted to which he doesn’t.

I’d say he acts like he has a guilty conscience except for the fact he hasn’t got a conscience.

He thinks this IS presidentin’…

It’s my guess that Sessions fired McCabe as a sop to Trump and Trump’s ego and Trump’s vindictiveness, to give him something while shielding Rosenstein and, therefore, Mueller for at least a while longer.

Sessions seems to have fallen into the role of distracting the shotgun wielding drunk, hoping that by some miracle he passes out or inadvertently shoots himself.

But maybe I just like to see the best in Evil Elves.

Trump actually thinks he in control and doing it “his way”? ha ha ha ha He is being played by the best and the melt down is right on time and in public. He is running around attacking everything that moves, proving along the way that he is completely unhinged due to his obvious guilt.

Why start now? He’s going to prison soon.

To quote Trump the lesser, I love it.

All I keep thinking of is the (somewhat altered) Shakespeare quote, “Me thinks thou doth protest too much.” This applies to both Trump and his lawyer.
