You do not have to bad mouth them, but you do not have to give them quarter either. Trump and Pence have done nothing to soothe things, and therefore do not get the benefit of the doubt. No one who cannot full throatily denounce KKK and Nazi support gets a pass or a pat on the back. “We’ll see” is as far as you should go.
Look, if Obama and Biden start spreading the word that the country is going to be unstable from day 1, then there will be huge implications that will hurt the American people. For example the world dropping the dollar as its safe haven. That would be a disaster for actual people.
There job is not to be the primary political actors right now. they are trying to keep the Goldman wheels on the track for just a few more months. ONce these guys take office then it is all on them, and the political assaults can begin. But now, the Prez and VP have to defend the institution and the country as best they can.
Its a shitshow that they even have to do that. The world is on a knife edge already.
