63,000,000 of your fellow citizens fervently wanted this person in the Oval Office. You interact with many of them, several times a day.
That is all.
Breaking news:
Trump declared The Constitution unconstitutional.
Trump: Hey, if that Khan guy is carrying it around in his pocket, it’s gotta be worthless. Right?
Of course they are.
As if Trump and his minions give a sh&t about the Constitution.
What the hell do you expect from “Don the Con”
This is emblematic of this corrupt mal-“Administration” which sees the White House as the latest property of the Trump “Organisation”.
I think that what the Media REALLY needs to focus on is that Donald Trump has the same liquidated damage clause in his NDA for White House Employees and high government officials as he does in the contract for his former one night stands, and that the attorneys for Donald Trump have unabashedly invoked their punitive, coercive, against public policy punitive damage clause in the Stormy Daniels litigation. To say that Donald Trump is a sociopath who has no shame is to make an understatement. It is so telling that White House counsel and Reince Priebus felt it was easier to have people sign unenforceable NDAs than to take the trouble of explaining to the Dotard In Chief that they were unenforceable. And would make Trump look like a sleazy, disposed to obstruction of justice, kind of person.
No problem. Never mind unconstitutional, he’ll never be able to enforce them when he and his lawyer are both in prison.
Time to hoist the Dotard onto his own petard…
NDA is unconstitutional…
So what will the GOP sycophants do about it?
So is insisting that someone sign an unlawful contract as a condition of employment, uh, unlawful in itself?
Getting tired of all this? Ask YOUR doctor about, ‘Chronic Outrage Fatigue Syndrome’. There is only one cure.
Run for office, register people to vote, get out the vote this fall.
This site, https://www.runforoffice.org/, allows you to enter your ZIP code and see what offices are available to you and the filing window for that office. They also have a few video short-courses on running a campaign. In my state you file for office during a 1-week period in May, just three months from now.
Become a Precinct Committee Officer, sometimes it’s a Ward officer. Meet your neighbors and get out the vote. Find good citizens willing to run for office.
Run for School Board. Make sure Civics is being properly taught. Think a majority of America knows how government works? Just 26% of eligible voters in America voted for Trump, and half of all voters stayed home last November. HALF! Today’s 10-year olds will be voting for President in 8 years. Make sure they’re prepared.
Run for Mayor, City Council, County Commissioner, Borough Assembly. And get on your Planning Commission.
Run for State Legislature or Congress. The next census is in 2020 when we’ll redraw Congressional Districts. Make them fair and open. Trump is ALREADY trying to rig the census- talk about ‘voter fraud’!
Register people to vote. If you need to help people overcome the GOP-led voter-run-around campaign help them do that. This site, https://www.aauw.org/resource/organize-a-voter-registration-drive/, has a how-to on organizing a voter registration drive. Or even sitting outside Wal Mart with a folding chair and a card table. Yes, that’s the American Association of University Women. And while we’re here organize a League of Women Voters chapter in your community if you don’t already have one. Fair, honest and above board. Democracy functions better with them involved.
Civics, civility and civilization all share the same roots. Get crackin’!
When’s Aidy gonna channel Sarah on how they all knew them NDAs were nothing bunch of horse-hooey and why they all gossip so much.
I think calling Trump a sociopath gives sociopaths an undeservedly bad name and implies a higher level of functioning than he is capable of.
I think a more apt description is that he’s akin to a reptile - missing that whole cerebral neocortex part of the brain. You know, the part where the conscious thinking goes on.
It happen frequently in the private sector. Most non-compete agreements, unless very limited in scope, are unenforceable. But government employment is a different kettle of fish and having private agreements on the side is almost certainlyverboten.
Regardless the fiefdom you deign to serve over, I struggle to understand the appeal of leading a herd of unruly beasts when half of them are diseased, rabid and would be better off put down. Bring up any city council meeting on YouTube when something of consequence is being debated. You’ll observe deploying reason and rational thought in most instances is a fool’s errand. There’s no need to question if the asylum doors have been left unattended in the last few years. The very walls have crumbled.
We all probably thought for some time that these existed and were required. I’ve gotta admit, though, that the $10,000,000 liquidated damages clause is a nice twist.
And millions of people in this country will think this is perfectly normal and that everybody does it (you shoulda seen Obummer’s NDAs - they required the death of people’s first-borns if violated…it’s a Kenyan thing).
One hundred years from now the great grand children of today’s White House staffers will bring those signed NDAs to Antiques Roadshow 2118 for appraisal. The appraiser will likely laugh and say, “worthless then - still worthless today”.
