This is the best way forward. It’s an easier lift for Congress to confirm that intent was never to make an end run around their Congressional power of the purse than it would be for the Senate to outright “veto” Spanky on this.

IIRC the ACLU success rate against Team Toadglans, expressed as a batting average, is: 1.000

Looks like the ACLU is getting two checks from me this month…

OK, one lawsuit up, hopefully there will be several more except I’m assuming the govt. will have to pay lawyers to defend the indefensible.

There will be. Wait, for example, for the Pentagon to publish a list of which military construction projects will not happen as they’ve lost funding. Then there will be a bunch of Contractors with standing to sue, for example.

Cow farts. I thought it was cow farts. Someone should ask Chris if she’s now a 24/7 pro-farting activist to spite the dems

Trump said the other night that Dems want to make it illegal to own a cow. That’s more or less verbatim.

Take a number.

But seriously, the best lawsuit will be the one by the House, after they vote to overide her emergency deceleration, and after the Senate does the same. They will then pass a resolution to authorize the House to hire counsel to sue Trump.

That is the strongest suit there is.

P.s. this is a useful piece if you want to know a little more: https://www.lawfareblog.com/what-authorities-president-trump-using-build-border-wall I did not know - until I saw this, that the NEA had been amended to make the disapproval vetoable. Too bad, as that was an interesting argument…

In the months directly after moron being sent to the presidency by the EC, the ACLU raised $120M on line when typically it would raise $3-5M annually. Their influence is everywhere and we don’t always see it.

This is not news, it was so evidently going to happen, sort of like the sun raises in the east, or trump lies within 30 seconds of touching his cel phone in the morning. :sunglasses:

Property owners have already protested and best of all for the opponents of this move, it’s going to drag on for months, and won’t help his appeal to his shrinking base.

Moron on the effects of the Green New Deal: “You’re not allowed to own cows anymore.” He added that the plan would “shut down American energy” and “a little thing called air travel.”
