Of course Mr. purity would never make accusations! That the prosecutorâs job! (exception is dastardly Clinton)
Comey doesnât need to accuse PeePee of obstructing justice. That wouldnât be his role anyway. What Comey can do is provide all of the minute details that would lead a normal, thinking person to put together the pieces and build the case for obstruction of justice.
Probably the right approach for someone who is now effectively a fact witness. Just say what happened and let others conclude that the facts amount to obstruction of justice.
Itâs the proper course of action for him. Let Mueller accuse the president after hearing all the facts.
Desnât need to
Not his job
Thatâs for the independent investigator .
Heâs FBI donchaknow

Wordâs out that Trump may âlive tweetâ Comeyâs testimony.
âComey swears Iâm totally innocent of obstructing justice! Letâs get back to real crimes of Hillary!â
Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldJTrump)
I really donât get what the purpose of leaking whatever testimony Comey is going to give ahead of time does to benefit anyone in this case, regardless of where one stands on matter. Why preview it through leaks ahead of time? Whatâs the purpose and who does that serve exactly?
In other words, weâre about to get WISHY-WASHY PIFFLE from Comey that allows the entire right-wing alt-right white nationalist propaganda machine to go ballistic crowing about their victory against the Russia accusations and the accusations that Trump asked Comey to stifle the investigation. Get your Pepto ready.
Makes the leaker feel like a big shot.
âLast week, CNN reported Comey intends to testify that Trump pressured him to drop the FBIâs investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.â
âA nodâs as good as a wink to a blind bat, eh?â
Only he will say that Trump was very âcarelessâ in his handling of the situation
âNudge nudge, wink wink, know what I mean, say no more.â
Nice attempt at normalcy - it never lastsâŚ
Deputy White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Monday that Trump will not use executive privilege to try and block Comey from testifying.
âThe President has decided instead to use executive privilege to place Comey in an isolation chamber in Gitmo.â
Iâd assume he will withhold on that front in coordination with Muller.
He wonât accuse him, but he will paint the word picture like Vin Scully, and let Direct. Muller accuse him.
Thatâs nice in theory, but weâre talking about a highly skilled attorney and law enforcement veteran here. To him, testifying in a way that doesnât interfere with the investigation not only means avoiding the appearance of improprieties like outright accusing Trump of obstructing justice, but also withholding information, FACTS that would be smoking guns and nails int he coffin. Heâs well aware of what he could say that, without outright making the accusation, would constitute the true beginning of Trumpâs downfall, and he will avoid it like the plague.
Itâs the difference between these two things:
âAnd did the President ask you at any time to abandon or stifle or otherwise stop the investigation into his campaignâs contacts and alleged collusion with Russia?â
Answer 1: âYes. The President asked me to âlet it go,â which I understood to mean abandoning the investigation and calling it off.â
Answer 2: âI would say that the President expressed to me his desire that the investigation be completed soon.â
He will give âAnswer 2â in EVERY SINGLE INSTANCE, effectively wasting everyoneâs time on Thursday and assisting both the cover up AND the alt-right mediaâs propaganda designed to undermine all political will for the investigation to continue.
Am I raining on everyoneâs parade? Well, tough. I hope Iâm 100% wrong about it, but thatâs what I foresee.
