Of course Mr. purity would never make accusations! That the prosecutor’s job! (exception is dastardly Clinton)

Comey doesn’t need to accuse PeePee of obstructing justice. That wouldn’t be his role anyway. What Comey can do is provide all of the minute details that would lead a normal, thinking person to put together the pieces and build the case for obstruction of justice.

Probably the right approach for someone who is now effectively a fact witness. Just say what happened and let others conclude that the facts amount to obstruction of justice.

It’s the proper course of action for him. Let Mueller accuse the president after hearing all the facts.

Word’s out that Trump may “live tweet” Comey’s testimony.

“Comey swears I’m totally innocent of obstructing justice! Let’s get back to real crimes of Hillary!”

I really don’t get what the purpose of leaking whatever testimony Comey is going to give ahead of time does to benefit anyone in this case, regardless of where one stands on matter. Why preview it through leaks ahead of time? What’s the purpose and who does that serve exactly?

In other words, we’re about to get WISHY-WASHY PIFFLE from Comey that allows the entire right-wing alt-right white nationalist propaganda machine to go ballistic crowing about their victory against the Russia accusations and the accusations that Trump asked Comey to stifle the investigation. Get your Pepto ready.

Makes the leaker feel like a big shot.

“Last week, CNN reported Comey intends to testify that Trump pressured him to drop the FBI’s investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.”

“A nod’s as good as a wink to a blind bat, eh?”

Only he will say that Trump was very “careless” in his handling of the situation

Deputy White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Monday that Trump will not use executive privilege to try and block Comey from testifying.

“The President has decided instead to use executive privilege to place Comey in an isolation chamber in Gitmo.”

I’d assume he will withhold on that front in coordination with Muller.

He won’t accuse him, but he will paint the word picture like Vin Scully, and let Direct. Muller accuse him.

That’s nice in theory, but we’re talking about a highly skilled attorney and law enforcement veteran here. To him, testifying in a way that doesn’t interfere with the investigation not only means avoiding the appearance of improprieties like outright accusing Trump of obstructing justice, but also withholding information, FACTS that would be smoking guns and nails int he coffin. He’s well aware of what he could say that, without outright making the accusation, would constitute the true beginning of Trump’s downfall, and he will avoid it like the plague.

It’s the difference between these two things:

“And did the President ask you at any time to abandon or stifle or otherwise stop the investigation into his campaign’s contacts and alleged collusion with Russia?”

Answer 1: “Yes. The President asked me to ‘let it go,’ which I understood to mean abandoning the investigation and calling it off.”

Answer 2: “I would say that the President expressed to me his desire that the investigation be completed soon.”

He will give “Answer 2” in EVERY SINGLE INSTANCE, effectively wasting everyone’s time on Thursday and assisting both the cover up AND the alt-right media’s propaganda designed to undermine all political will for the investigation to continue.

Am I raining on everyone’s parade? Well, tough. I hope I’m 100% wrong about it, but that’s what I foresee.
