Discussion: ABC: Comey Will Dispute Trump Claims, Won't Accuse Him Of Obstructing Justice

After so many attempts sock naming is now increasingly boring. Why hasn’t it changed it to Herpes# already?

I thought it had run out of steam with it came up with the sock “badsite”

But it could have been that its dosage was upped that day.

Which is what a former law enforcement official should do in this situation, detail the crimes and misdeeds as much as possible but without making a formal accusation that’s for current law enforcement and prosecutors to make or a formal finding that’s for judges to make. Comey helped to get himself and the country into this mess in the first place by straying too close to the boundaries of that latter parameter in the first place.

I hope everyone remembers that this isn’t from Comey himself. It’s from ABC via an unnamed source who is “close to Comey”. Maybe they are close enough to want to see him keep breathing and testify.

What reason would Comey have for offering Tramp even an inch of cover?

If Comey’s notes state exactly what you’ve outline then, yes, that is what he will testify to. But Tramp himself told us that he asked Comey about the investigation, asked him to “go easy” on his buddy Flynn. I can’t see a scenario where Comey documented it as Answer #2.

We’ll see soon enough!

Am I raining on everyone’s parade? Well, tough. I hope I’m 100% wrong about it, but that’s what I foresee.

I’ll see your parade rain and raise you a thunderstorm on a picnic—there’s a good deal of hoo-ha on the twitters today about NSA head Mike Rogers dropping bombs on Trump tomorrow. Color me very skeptical of Rogers doing anything remotely like that:

The Washington Post reported on 19 November 2016 that Defense Secretary Ashton B. Carter and Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James R. Clapper Jr. had recommended to President Obama that Rogers be terminated as director of the National Security Agency. Carter reportedly recommended he be terminated due to poor performance, whereas Clapper considered it wise that the position be held by a civilian. Both Clapper and Carter had put Rogers on notice for poor performance in internal security and for a poor leadership style.

His termination was reportedly delayed due to stalled changes to the bureaucratic structure of the intelligence community. Later, Rogers reportedly met with then President-elect Donald Trump without notifying his supervisors in what is an unprecedented action for a military officer.

Let’s hope his lawyer isn’t nearby, so he can further incriminate himself in the process.

Hi Sockey!

You seem really slow on the uptake, Sockey. What is this, your 37th sock puppet?

That will be sad if he does that. The only good thing is I can’t believe Donald won’t continue to get tangled in his own stupidity, I just hope it’s sooner that later and he doesn’t take the rest of us and the US down too far with himself.

Prepare the Tweetstorm!

“I don’t think we should roll out the red carpet to the president of the USA in the circumstances where his policies go against everything we stand for,” he said.
