I think most of them lack āvision,ā unless vision refers to picturing oneself at the top of the heap, taking whatever one wants. This guy seemed to think a job in government was a blank check, and when someoneās greed and ambition is so upfront, coupled with what I suppose is an appealing face and personality, to the GOP thatās a star! They donāt care for vision, they care for really good salesmen who can keep the gravy train going. I think they saw that in him; he just wasnāt established enough for anyone want to protect him when he went too far, and he clearly wasnāt very good at hiding his sins.
