Discussion for article #234401

Well, he sure knew how TO PAINT THE TOWN RED, at least while he could. Of course, that means both figuratively and literally, as we all know now.

Smell you later, dumbass.

number 5 is the one that really cracks me up… put in for reimbursement for 170,000 miles – when the friggin suv only has 80,000. and a chevy tahoe? those are fucking tanks… i guess for all of those ieds on the illinois backroads…

there is most definitely something really big just about to be dropped.

edit: with all of the dismal news, thank goodness this story is available to provide some comic relief…

What’s next? These events aren’t resignation worthy!

Why is Schock characterized as a “rising Republican star” in almost every news story? What of substance did he do? How was he supposed to be a visionary and leader? What am I missing?

Really? I think two things on that list could put him in jail.

In GOPspeak, rising star, usually means, good at taking bribe money, and doing the puppet dance in congress…and NEVER say you are sorry or wrong…He will be back, all Chastened and Churched up…Politicians who have no qualms about being bribed and sell their influence to the Money Machine Party, always seem to land on their feet…Oh, some may get bad publicity for a while, but IOKIYAR…

He’s outgoing and knows how to raise money. As for noteworthy legislation, he’s a lightweight.

Barney Frank got it right: “Aaron Schock ‘spent entirely too much time in the gym for a straight man’”

So what does that tell you? Expect more TROUBLE! The $40,000 office design throws me a bit: how much is the maximum to spend without big questions. Maybe $15,000 or $20,000?

He’s young and good looking, kind of like Rubio & Ryan. And like Rubio & Ryan, when they speak, they don’t come off as angry, old men.

That’s pretty much all it takes to be a star for them today, as far as I can tell.

I’m sorry, but I have to agree with others that the funniest thing here is thinking “haters gonna hate” is a Taylor Swift original.

One needn’t accomplish anything to become “a rising Republican star” apparently, other than have a shiny surface and be “the new kid”, I imagine.

Of course the observation, “Congressman Schock, seemingly the gayest thing since your cousin Keith’s showtune album collection”, is not publicly stated, but always silently noted. Believe me, that fact is not lost on anyone.

…not that there’s anything wrong with it…

1st draft of Aaron Schock’s resignation speech: [As I leave, let me reference for you my favorite philosopher, oracle and life coach, the sage Taylor Swift. Being ‘Fearless,’ I just wanted to ‘Stay, Stay, Stay’ and felt I was ‘The Lucky One’…but, alas, even though ‘The Way I Loved You’ ‘Sparks Fly’, it was not enough. I ‘Should Have Said NO’… This is all ‘Sad Beautiful Tragic’ for me, but I still feel like a ‘Superman’ in ‘A State of Grace’…with your prayers and good wishes. ‘The Way I loved You’ is ‘Sweeter Than Fiction’ and ‘This Love’ is ‘Forever and Always’! ~muuuaah!~___So, even though I am ‘Innocent,’ ‘Everything Has Changed’ and I am now ‘Haunted’ by the fact that I could not just ‘Shake It Off’ and that ‘We Are Never Getting Back Together’! And although I am not ‘Out Of The Woods’ yet, I will ‘Begin Again’ and create ‘A New Place in This World’! And even though, ‘Haters Gonna’ Hate’ I shall leave as if on ‘A White Horse’ to create a new ‘Wonderland’ for myself and my Jonathon (with an ‘O’)! Thank you, and ‘Stay Beautiful.’]

…Your ex-Representative Aaron “Fab” Schock
So long!
