Discussion for article #234228
This is devolving. In this case, just quitting or “stepping down” was probably the wrong move. It say, “We can’t change, so we’re going home.” Or, “If you won’t stand for my dogs biting you, then I can’t or won’t do my job.”
If someone is only competent at making a situation worse, stepping down is the best thing they can do.
Lets see if the NRA runs in to defend the shooter’s right to bear arms.
Somehow, I think they’ll hang back this time.
“They that sow the wind, reap the whirlwind”.
Unless of course, you’re white and an NRA member, then not so much.
Where are all the Tea Partiers screaming about watering the tree of liberty now?
Of course the NRA is known for supporting people who shoot police. Another comment making those you don’t agree with out to be racist.
It is devolving into this because of comments and actions by the race baiters on the left to include the AG and POTUS. If I were these police officers in these areas, I would just let them police themselves and see how that works out.
Not sure I understand your comment. Remember the recent DOJ report on racism in this department? This wasn’t a function of “race baiting”; it was a function of racism. But maybe I’m not taking your point.
I wondered which right winger who posts here would be the first to blame this on the Obama Administration.
So the DOJ knows the heart of the officers? No the race agitators in the DOJ made a claim of racism based off statistics that don’t show anyone’s intentions, they then equated that to “it was done because the police department is full of racist”. I would refuse to patrol, respond to calls, etc… if I were the Ferguson police department, let the people police themselves.
This is terrible and a terrible setback for the cause of justice in the black community (regardless of who did the shooting).
Parenthetical: If progressives had their own Alex Jones, we could all be reading about why “this has all the trappings of a false flag operation” right now.
I didn’t blame it on the Obama Administration, I blamed it on the race agitators on the left, they just unfortunately include the AG and POTUS.
Because Obama and Holder both agreed with the Justice Department’s report that cleared officer Wilson of any wrongdoing - they caused this shooting? That’s your point? If everyone ignores rampant, institutionalized racism which was proven to be embedded in a city’s court and enforcement agencies, everything will work out for the best?
What do you expect to happen when there exist active elements in our society trying to driving people apart based on gender, race, sexual orientation, etc… the result is predictable and it is going to get worse.
Nonsense.
This is no more the fault of people and government officials calling for reform than the Catholic Church or GOP politicians proposing anti-choice legislation are responsible for pro life zealots who kill doctors. I know that some on the left claim that they are responsible, but they are wrong.
And so are you.
Ok. I wondered which right winger who posts here would be the first to blame this on Holder and Obama. Better?
Yeah. Just the prexy and AG. I guess the guy exempts the Commerce Sec’y and the head of NASA so “not the Administration”.
Has there been any confirmation about the police confiscating cameras and Livestreaming equipment from witnesses immediately following the shootings? Right now, there are conflicting reports about the shooter locations. According to some witnesses, the shots originated from a house very close to the Ferguson police station. Other witnesses claim that the shots were fired from a hill located away from the dwindling crowd of protesters.
So, you did read about the racism embedded in Ferguson’s court and police departments. Are those the active elements you’re referring to that are driving people apart based on race? Let me get this straight. If you go to the doctor and he says you have cancer, if everyone ignores it and refuses to act or comment on any treatment, the cancer will magically go away?
