Discussion: 1974 Gov’t Document Appears To Show Both Of Cruz’s Parents As Canadian Citizens

Looks like the Cubanadiamurrikan’ Cruz clan has a long history of not knowing what fu*king country they call ‘home’!

And other very odd matters concerning the Cruz family cesspool:

A: There is a lot of doubt about whether his parents were married because there is no record of Rafael’s divorce ever, ever being finalized
B: Ted has 4 half sisters: 2 from his father’s first marriage and 2 from his mother’s but only one of them has (tepidly) supported him; one refuses to speak and the last 2 have not been contacted.
C: Mother and Father seem to be no longer speaking and evidently detest each the other.

Lots of cannon fodder here…Oh Donald!!!

Actually the whole Republican Candidate Family tree is pretty fu*ked up:

This is a non story if she was a dual citizen. Cruz needs to say it one way or other and squash it. Trump is going to have a field day. On other hand Trump has lost a good VP candidate.

Trump doesn’t give a shit.

All he cares about is WINNING.

But since Cruz’s mother was an American citizen, the place of his birth actually is irrelevant to his eligibility.

C’mon TPM…you know it isn’t that simple. Cruz’s mom would confer citizenship yes but not necessarily natural born status. For that she would have to have lived in the US for 10 yrs 5 of which would need to be after age 14. So if she was less than 21 at Ted’s birth there would be a problem. From what I con find about Ted’s mom she fulfills the residency requirements, sadly enough.

Just another entry in the “Create Doubt Effectively” chapter of "Campaigning for the Presidency."

I don’t have much doubt that Cruz is a legit citizen, but I think it’s awesome that the birther gun is now being pointed at him.

This pot should be stirred often. I don’t care about the actual legal question behind it. It’s just that, while I’m reasonably certain that Hillary Clinton could trounce Ted Cruz in the general election, I’d prefer not to take that chance. To me, he’s the scariest of the G.O.P. contenders. The republic could survive a buffoon like Trump (he would quickly discover that yelling and trying to intimidate people is ineffective), but a Cruz Presidency could sink us.

It’s not hard to imagine Mother Cruz ending up on such a list even if she were never a Canadian citizen. So this is hardly compelling.

I’m much more interested in calling out Obama birthers who support Cruz. Not because it matters but because it’s fun and hypocrisy is always enjoyable to mock.

Cruz is very smart, and hungers only for power. He is very good at telling half truths to make a point – like Obama wants to take your guns. He is indeed the most dangerous of the Republican candidates and anything that makes it more difficult for him is good for the US.

At least one other error is evident on its face: the name of Sen. Cruz’s father is misspelled," Rushton told TPM in his 2013 statement.

The spelling of Cruz’s father’s name is anglicized to “Raphael” rather than the correct spelling “Rafael” and his occupation is listed as self-employed;

The official languages of Canada are English and French. Makes sense that the spelling would be written down to conform with Canadian law. Watching the “make English the official language” folks spin this one should be quite amusing.

He’s a smarter, more sober version of Joe McCarthy. Yikes.

Birth of U.S. Citizens Abroad

A child born abroad to a U.S. citizen parent or parents may acquire U.S. citizenship at birth if certain statutory requirements are met. The child’s parents should contact the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate to apply for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen of the United States of America (CRBA) to document that the child is a U.S. citizen. If the U.S. embassy or consulate determines that the child acquired U.S. citizenship at birth, a consular officer will approve the CRBA application and the Department of State will issue a CRBA, also called a Form FS-240, in the child’s name.

Where’s your Form FS-240, Alberta Rafael? We want the long form, also too.

I’m just concerned about where Cruz’s loyalities lie. Since the man didn’t renounce his Canadian citizenship until 2014, it’s fair to say they were at least conflicted.

We must stand firm against creeping Canadian tyranny! If we aren’t careful, we’ll all be worshiping at the altar of Don Cherry, and drinking Molson Ice. Exxon stations will be renamed Esso, and curling will become a national pastime.

OK, obviously Rafael screwed up. Fidel told him to, on instruction from Khrushchev, to marry an American woman and have a son, then move to America and release him into the American political system, and destroy it from within. It’s been working like a charm, except Rafael clearly left some loose ends in Canada.

And our Spell Check software will have to be updated to make allowances for “colour” and “labour.”

From what I understand, the beer would be improved, and hockey would be the national pastime.

And a big plus is Kinder eggs would be legal.

The horror! The horror!

So what? That does not alter the fact she was a US citizen and conferred US citizenship on her son at birth, thus making him a natural born citizen.

And now TPM has jumped the Birther shark. Time for me to find another source as TPM just lost every bit of credibility it had.

It creates doubts in the primitive brains of dumbasses, that’s what.
