DHS's Endless Trolling

Congratulations! I’m the proud grandpa to a four year old and he was the gift I didn’t even know I needed. He has no idea how much he helps me get through these troubled times we’re living in. Enjoy every moment!

Absent implementation of the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact abolishing the EC requires a Constitutional amendment.

The Supreme Court framed Citizens United as a 1st Amendment issue. It cannot be set aside by legislation.

Expanding the Court could solve both those issues, and a host of other horrendous decisions issued by the current majority, if an appropriate case makes its way onto the docket.

Making friends and influencing people.

On the prospects of an EU trade deal, the US president has said there were “20 sticking points”. When asked what they were, he said: “Well, I don’t want to tell you what the sticking points are.”

[Dear God, kill me, now!]

Trump spent the night at his family-owned Turnberry golf resort on a private visit, but took time to criticise European leaders over wind turbines and immigration, claiming there won’t be a Europe unless they “get their act together”.

[Trump the bird conservationist]

“I say two things to Europe. Stop the windmills. You’re ruining your countries. I really mean it, it’s so sad. You fly over and you see these windmills all over the place, ruining your beautiful fields and valleys and killing your birds,” he said. “On immigration, you better get your act together,” he said. “You’re not going to have Europe any more.”

[Trump ain’t a cheap date!]

Trump’s arrival in Scotland has required the biggest security operation since Elizabeth II died in 2022. More than 5,000 police and security personnel are involved in the four-day visit with no risks taken after the assassination attempt on the president a year ago.

High perimeter fences have been erected around the coastal golf course with naval vessels patrolling the shore while security drones overhead and dozens of security detail staked out the resort early on Saturday.

Lemme guess – the reactionaries are using their control of the House to attempt domination with petty punishments.
“Yeah, that’ll show her.”

It occurred to me why Foolius Sleazer got into the casino bidness.

The House has to hit on anything 16 and under, and on soft 17s depending on the state.

Trump should get two lumps of coal for Christmas. And a model of a windmill and its battery.
Also a model solar panel and a sparrow in a cage.
Just think…solar panels on the WH roof. Donnie would not even know…
We have two small solar panels that run our outside lights and lights in the living room and other rooms. Biggest drain is running AC
Power bill last month $26.

So, to normalize trade with the US, the EU needs to call a special session to anoint Donald Lord High MuckyMuck, provide him with final authority over all the countries’ policies and set aside a reasonable time for each nation’s political class to lick his spittle?

Electoral College and Citizens United. I was typing with one hand, sorry.

Blackjack rules. As a player you can do anything you want…keep asking for more cards even if you already have 17, 18, 19, or 20. (object is to get to 21 or closest without going over). The dealer (House) has to take a card if they have 16…but different states have a rule where dealer must hit soft 17s.

Hard 17 would be a 9 +8, or 10 +7. But aces can represent 1 or 11. Thus a 10 plus ace is 21. 2 card blackjack! Dealer pays.

But if you have a 6 + ace, that can be a 7 or soft 17 and some states or House rules dictate in writing (right on the table felt) that they MUST hit a soft 17. It alters the odds…I can’t remember if it is favorable to House or player.

What ever happened to states’ rights?

Barb McQuade nails it.

If you are for states’ rights, vote Democratic.

No wonder I didn’t know what you meant. Poker is something I’m not familiar with.
