Chao and DeVos do not want to be there to be called on to invoke the 25th. This is just another one of Donnie’s ploys. If there are not 8 cabinet members left standing in his maladministration , then there will not be enough to legally take this monster out.

DeVos’ resignation is entirely consistent with her view of public education. Individuals who have the means can opt out of situations they don’t like, but there’s no effort to change the situation (i.e., remove trump or improve public education for all students)

I maintain that she got out so as to avoid having to face her own “accomplishments” during transition. She doesn’t want to have to explain or answer for anything she did while attempting to destroy public education to the incoming team. Let someone else take the anger.

There is nothing more dangerous than a billionaire who thinks she has some good ideas about how the country should be run. Betsy has no more idea of what to do to help public education in this country than Queen Elizabeth.
Betsy is inherited royalty and she will return to her regal trappings now while paid mercenaries and mid-level marketing continue to kill people or simply ruin them financially. She will continue to be a force in our lives because she has the kind of wealth that can buy people, and there are many, many for sale.
