What a spineless, blame shifting asshole l’il ron is. What a typical professional republican.

He blamed teachers, school administrators and “the news media” for whipping up a frenzy (he called it a “hoax”) and “activists” for trying to score political points by proposing bans on too many books

The way to have prevented that was to clearly define the criteria. Both DeSantis and the lege declined to do that, preferring instead to impose ill-defined standards that set up a decision basis that was arbitrary and capricious by design

Anyone could get into trouble for anything. And that, apparently, was the entire purpose of these laws

“…We just want to make sure we’re not trying to incentivize frivolous objections or any type of games being played,” he said.”

“Frivolous objections and game playing should be left to my office and my legislature, where they belong,” he wanted to add.

Can climate change hurry up and swallow Flori-duh below the waves already?

Yup.

Now I see Indiana has started up some kind of “tattle on the teacher” hotline. Have fun with all the crank calls, dumbasses.

Don’t have kids.
Don’t want book bans.
Have the right at school board meetings to object.

Remember Ziegler was DeSantis’ pick for Florida GOP chair and I would imagine he and Bridget are friends of Ron. They were eager to run with Moms for Liberty efforts on don’t say gay and book banning.

I have a hunch Ron’s advisors have told him he needs to tip toe away before the press begins asking him pointed questions about three ways and his and Casey’s sexual preferences. He is dancing a little sidestep.

So now it will take a few dozen people to destroy school libraries statewide instead of one or two? How reassuring.

Not to mention that Mr. DeSatan is completely unqualified to be a chief executive of any kind!

Let me guess - Bill O’Reilly is pissed that his books got banned for lewd content and he’s pissed at DeSantis for lost sales. DeSantis is trying to grovel and make amends.

When you’re a complete shithead who apparently learned NOTHING in law school or in life, you cannot imagine how your own stupid will come back to bite you in the ass. Poor Wonny, his fee-fees are hurt that “activists” made a joke out of his stupid fascist “lite” book burning cosplay. Christ but Republicans are fucking stupid aren’t they?

The genie is already out of the bottle on book banning.

May’s well try to put toothpaste back in the tube.

Our Governor Fleece Vest tried that one. And then quietly shut it down and refused the Richmond paper’s attempts to get information regarding how many calls it got and what kinds of complaints were lodged. I strongly suspect the response that came through in those calls was not what he expected.
