DeSantis Quietly Hits At Trump Administration For Trying To Stop COVID Too Hard

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who’s been waging war on COVID-19 safety measures in a clear bid to be the next MAGA king ahead of 2024, sees ex-president Donald Trump’s oblique swipe and raises him a challenge of who can be more pro-spread than the other.

You know it’s on when De Santis goes for Trump’s hair. They both seem pretty venal on that count.

I don’t think DeSantis is a moron. He’s got too many academic credentials to be a complete fool. So that leaves us with the understanding that he is a sociopath.

It would seem Florida is not big enough for two Florida men.

More seriously, De Santis not only not backing off but instead upping the ante shows he doesn’t fear Trump, and perhaps thinks Trump has lost his mojo. I’m still not sure why Trump went all in on vaccinations, but it’s given De Santis an opening.

Trump has reportedly been griping to allies about DeSantis because the governor hasn’t said that he would drop out of the 2024 GOP primary if Trump were to run again.
