I’m wondering if “give them enough rope to hang themselves” might be the right strategy. If you fight them, they dig in harder, but if you let them run with crazy ideas, people eventually get fed up. And if people don’t get fed up, there’s not much that’s going to contain the crazy for long.

Tenure at universities is what protects academic freedom and integrity. It allows students and faculty to be inquisitive and not stifle debate. The Florida Orban like governor along with his sidekick Rufo, like a famous 70’s sitcom star want to stifle debate. It’s the anthesis of the freedom they claim to uphold.
