No. They are all assholes and bullies.
Which is the part that doesnât compute, and indicates to me that weâve got something else simmering just below the surface at all times which could change everything overnight.
On the face of things, with all thatâs known publicly and the lockstep support of the republicans, in his shoes Iâd be doing the happy dance on the graves of my enemies.
That heâs not is the thing which gives me some hope that this ainât over yet.

It could be that revelation of his lack of wealth is more embarrassing for the minions than anything else. They admire him for his great wealth and business savvy. The revelation of the taxes blows that up to high hell.

Sadly, I disagree. There are plenty more where he came from. Look at the near-unanimous support he has from his party, and the throngs of worshipers among the populace. After decades of gerrymandering, cheating and ratfucking, a monster like him was inevitable.
trump is the head of a pustulent, reeking abscess. First it needs to be painfully lanced, then cleaned out. Or, perhaps the toxin will spread and kill our democracy. All of these are still possible.

Impeach the fucker fast. Since a large swath of the public canât count much higher than two, and wonât read anything longer than a headline, two it is. Donât give Barr any opportunity to put reverse English on the counts. Make the G.O.P. defend Trump against these two irrefutable points: the President abused his power, and he obstructed the Congressional investigation.
Thatâs all people have the capacity to absorb. Nobody read the Mueller report, nobody even remembers Mueller testifying about it. Something about Russia.
Present company excluded, of course.

Pelosi has to put on the table that which she can get passed in the House. The big headline for the history books will be âTrump was impeachedâ. Whether it was 2, 3, 4 articles wonât matter. This doesnât preclude additional articles and doesnât speak to the timeline. Itâs most important to get something on the board before the end of the year because it frames the 2020 election and makes Trumpâs corruption a central point which he canât avoid. That is essential to defeating him or to pushing him to a point where he might resign. There are few forces in politics more powerful at cutting across partisan or tribal loyalties than corruption.

Thatâs why I check the real-time tweets. He has no inner monologue, and rage-tweets before his handlers get a chance to walk him back. What youâll get later will be the act of whatever they instructed him to say, but this reaction is totally in line with all his other morning rage-tweeting.

We need someone who can break through that Wurlitzer. I donât know who that messenger is.

Sometimes the best thing to do is to let it go. Those too thickskulled to understand wonât listen anyway (you just make yourself look foolish trying) and those who are somewhat sentient will see through the charade.
We are never going to win over everyone. Those who will not see will continue with the delusion. Sad, but true.
Remember, we all have limited energy and limited bandwidth. Gotta pick your battles.

Weâve already broken through. Impeachment and removal is net positive (+6). That is unprecedented in US history. We changed public opinion over the course of this year. Even those who oppose removal know that our case is legit. Weâve won this debate. Take your win and frame the election on your terms. Put max pressure on Trump and his allies.
