Democrats Will Hold Hearings On Supreme Court’s Use Of Shadow Docket

Hmmmmmm, Manchin steps up and becomes the hero of Democrats “everywhere” by eliminating the filibuster and also becoming the point man to pass all of Biden’s and the progressive’s priorities. THEN, he can stop being a “reddish” Dem to get re-elected in purplish West Virginia and probably walk away with the next Dem Presidential nomination. Hmmmmmmmm…

Congress can increase or decrease the number of SCOTUS justices legislatively.

Having age limits or term limits would require amending the Constitution, which takes several years on average.

How could he be forced to resign?
What are the names of the 18 or 20 GQP Senators who will vote to convict after an impeachment?

Unless it’s the Equal Rights Amendment, which is somewhere in the area of 40 years?

Getting a constitutional amendment passed isn’t what it used to be.

Once someone starts calling for an amendment, we end up getting calls for a Constitutional Convention and, man, oh, man, I really don’t want to go there. The whole document gets trashed and re-written in the image of the majority, which may not actually be the majority.

I don’t know what you’re smoking, but I’d love to have some of it.

VUSD said Vargo was not harmed in connection to the incident. The district has not yet decided if they will press charges against the protesters.

The school better press charges because the next time they won’t stop at just threats. This is a pattern of escalation to greater crimes.

We don’t actually have lifetime appointments to SCOTUS.

According to the US Constitution, justices serve during “good behavior.”

As I posted before, if you want some sort of term limits, you have to amend the Constitution, and that takes time and could spark more calls (from the right, of course) for a Constitutional Convention, in which the loony right would destroy this Republic.

Please explain

Brainstorm: Biden just goes ahead and nominates three of five new Supreme Court justices, and the Senate confirms them in a filibuster-proof package with enabling legislation that the appointments take effect immediately upon passage by the House and signature of the President.

So who determines the “good behavior”? If that were true and the lies to Congress could be proven (as to Kav), is that not reason enough to constitutionally dismiss him?

Of course, the GQP would never admit they were lies, but it is a constitutional question that should be explored and answered, once and for all.

What I mean is this is not some sort of spontaneous second-degree freakout in the moment at the grocery store. They made phone calls, got the zip ties, went to the school, all that mess. There was a degree of planning and coordination that meant this made sense to several people and nobody said hey guys, this is crazy, people don’t do this.

Was the ultimate plan ever revealed? I can’t believe for a moment that zip-tying the principal was the final goal, there had to be more to it than that.
