Democrats Will Hold Hearings On Supreme Court’s Use Of Shadow Docket

Change ‘parents’ to ‘humans’ and you might have something there.

Hopefully, whatever serves as Child Protective Services in this town will take the appropriate actions and remove the kids from the parents’ care.

I’m not quite sure what zip-tying the principal would’ve done - does it say whether the principal is a female? - so there was certainly more of a plan than just this one action.

Well, for a constitutional originalist from the federalist’s society, 3/5th is a magic number, isn’t it? That and taking away a woman’s right to choose.

I’d go with vaccination mandates instead. It would be overwhelmingly popular, and who wouldn’t want to claim a $10k bounty from anti-vaxx idiots? It would probably even be pretty effective (apart from the fact that vigilante standing isn’t a thing).

And, if the hearings don’t cause the GOP to reverse course, strongly-worded letters may be in the offing!

Merrick Garland has scheduled a Zoom meeting on the matter. Everyone is requested to bring their notepads and a furrowed brow.

EVERYTHING hangs on eliminating the filibuster. Not one republic-saving, tranformative thing can be done until the filibuster is eliminated.
And THAT hangs on Joe Manchin (Sinema would probably go with what he does).
So, ONE MAN is in position to bring the Republic down. He didn’t set up the situation. Far greater villains are responsible for where we are.
But by a quirk of circumstances, Joe Manchin finds himself in position to be the greatest villain in American history or the greatest hero in American history. There is no in-between.
Sadly, he appears to be too stupid or too venal to see it or care.
Thus do individuals make or break history–either by design or by complete accident.

All those 2016 “just didn’t feel it” and Jill Stein voters can thank themselves now that a woman’s right to choose will soon be restricted to a handful of blue states.

Well done, People!

Hillary was probably calling the wrong people deplorable.

Good. Congress has always had the power to limit the SC and/or regulate their behavior. Let’s start by getting rid of lifetime appointments.

OT: Thought I’d let you know about this devastating loss to journalism. :joy::sunglasses::rofl:

Its mascot, an alpaca named “Retracto,” was soaked.

Tots and pears?

Well, Retracto is a stuffed Alpaca. It’s ok. Probably happy.

It’s mass hysteria. Trying to zip-tie the principal is a form of slow-motion breakdown in which your knowledge of how to think appropriately and rationally about things just melts and runs out your ears as you stomp around the house yelling about tyranny and your rights.

This, too!!!

No, Hillary was right, as she has always tended to be. Looking WAY back, we could have had Obamacare in the 1990s by her design, which has gotten endless bad-mouthing ever since.

The alpaca is gone but O’Keefe is OK and people try to tell me the universe makes sense. :pensive:

Like they say, it’s an ill wind that blows nobody any good.

I like that, but change ‘selling the gun’ to ‘making the gun,’.

Getting caught lying to Congress is not subject to majority vote. If he lied to Congress (he did) during his confirmation hearings, that, then, casts his confirmation in legally dubious territory. He should be forced to resign, or else be impeached for lying to Congress.

First, it needs to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he lied.

Second, the GQP in the Senate will never be in favor of removing Kav. It’s nice that the facts would be out, but it won’t change a thing.
