Democrats Huddle To Chart Path Forward On Reconciliation

Today, both the House and Senate Democratic caucuses have their big meetings. As we’ve seen in recent weeks, these meetings can spur significant forward motion. We’ll be watching what comes out of them this week even more closely than usual — negotiations over the handful of unresolved issues in the reconciliation package have shrunk to, for the most part, include only leadership and the obstinate few (mainly Sens. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema).

Let’s hope the Climate Change legislation remains in the bill. Things are about to get “interesting”.

Democrats began coalescing around the billionaires taxfollowing centrist Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s (D-AZ) opposition to taxing corporations and the wealthy.

Ah, geez.

Next thing, they’ll be coming after the middle class. No, wait…

Good news! 90% of methane from cows is from belches (not farts). A new study has shown an 80% reduction of methane when cows are fed seaweed and it doesn’t effect the taste of meat or milk and obviously doesn’t require fresh water to grow!

Anthrax is an oldie but a goodie. I think they’re referring to as yet, unknown pathogens or novel surprises humans have no defenses against. That’s when things will really get interesting.

““At the end of the day, West Virginia is going to get a little bit more than us with this deal, and we’re happy to concede that,” Warnock said”

Trust me, you and yours are why Manchin doesn’t want GA to get that expansion.

They are who we think they are. Manchin and Sinema should both drown in a bowl of stool.

Godot will show up before the Democrats agree on a Build Back Better bill. Since Pelosi says that the House won’t vote on the Senate-passed infrastructure bill until the Senate caucus agrees on a BBB bill, that means there won’t be an infrastructure bill. This is called political suicide.

The way things are going in Congress, before anything passes we will see swine levitating over the frozen landscape of Hades.

The closer they get to passing any kind of bill, the more unpopular Biden polls.
Media is definitely playing a role in his dropping numbers. Yesterday, the biggest Biden story showed him coughing into his hand and then shaking hands while unmasked.

Anyone still feeling confident about us holding the House? I was surprised to see Biden fall to an all time low of 7.5 points under water today. I thought the numbers might start stabilizing or improving. Nope.

I suspect we’ve now passed the point where any politician is at 50% approval - ever again.

There is symmetry in those two observations.

Along with $$$$$$$:

Excerpt from Josh, today (The Social Networks)…

["But really all these networks are running experiments that put us collectively into the role of Pavlov’s dogs.

The algorithms are showing you things to see what you react to and showing you more of the things that prompt an emotional response, that make it harder to leave Facebook or Instagram or any of the other social networks. The article I referenced above notes that an ‘anger’ reaction got a score of 5 while a ‘like’ got 1. That sounds bad and it kind of is bad. But really if your goal is to maximize engagement that is of course what you’d do since anger is a far more compelling and powerful emotion than appreciation."]
