Democratic Senator Ben Luján Hospitalized For Stroke

Every time I see that photo, I think of Prince entering the 1988 Grammys. And I don’t mean to insult Prince.

Press releases on a politician’s medical condition are often misleading. Remember when McCain had “a procedure to remove a blood clot above his eye” when in fact he had an open brain biopsy? Surgical decompression after a cerebellar infarct is not a good thing.

A younger friend of mine, about half my age, had a stroke and died a few years ago. He was a kid, in relative terms, about 25 years old. I know his dad, and his stster, and his uncle. all pretty well. He was a fantastic barista! Genuine good kid, but one day…that’s all it took.

What a fucking clown Sinema turned out to be. Does she dress this stupidly to impress her GOP donors? (Murdoch is apparently shoveling cash her way.)

Believe me, you are free to insult Sinema about almost anything and I will not be offended. I really do not like proffering views of folks appearance…I’d really rather not but in her case it is completely unavoidable. And then there’s the duplicity in her email to me bragging about her co-sponsorship of both voting bills and a sentence later saying she supported the filibuster as a way to gain something bipartisan with the goobers. Killing what one is a strong co-sponsor of is the worst sort of bullshit politics AND it was concerning what is a basic American right. One of the several things our Revolution was all about. I cannot countenance that sort of shit. I just cannot. And I told her so in an email.

No not s good thing, but it’s not a new unproven procedure by any means.

Here is a famous image she herself posted…

Looking carefully at her ring one will notice it says “fuck off”
Here is a close up…

This is my state’s senior senator.
I am embarrassed, insulted, and ragingly angry at her antics and more importantly her votes. I really wish America has a sort of a version of the British "no confidence: vote where we could remove an elected official based on flagrantly idiotic and dangerous behavior and crazy anti-American stances. I would settle for a recall vote if we could as we can for our local state officials here in Arizona. Russell Pearce got booted out of our legislature by a recall some years ago over his conniving in the authorship if SB1070. The “papers Please” bill

Looks like a Marimekko designed fabric. A Finnish design house known for their bold often psychedelic patterns, especially floral. To be honest, this is actually one of the nicer things she’s worn. I would have paired it with short black ankle boots, some chunky tribalish bracelets, a dark smokey eye, and a nude lip. The pink hair is ugly.

All that being said, it’s not appropriate attire for senate business. If she were an edgy real estate agent selling multimillion dollar properties in Malibu it would work. But this doesn’t look serious. Certainly not something one should wear when Democracy is on life support.

People have been talking about the 50-50 senate and the danger of this; but I never considered SENATOR LUJAN (my senator) to be one of the ones who ‘might’ get sick.

Leahy was the one everybody mentioned.
