More than 20,000 soldiers with the national guard will be present in the capital for the Biden inauguration, D.C. Police Chief Robert Contee said on Wednesday.
I hope state Capitols are taking things this seriously.

I, for one, have never been able to go to an inauguration in DC, so I’m looking forward to a virtual one that includes us all.

I know they’d be loathe to do it, and the blowback would be horrendous if they exercised it, but here’s hoping the orders for these troops include shoot to kill should matters even appear ready to get out of hand.
