New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) said during a press conference Wednesday that the bipartisan deal on the Senate’s $2 trillion response bill for the COVID-19 outbreak is not enough for his state, which has been experiencing a surge in coronavirus cases and deaths.
Governor, it’s not enough for any state.
I believe you Andrew but…maybe it’s time for some of those billionaires to step up. In Washington State we have a bunch of ‘rich guys’ that are donating goods/services/money to help. We were able to get a jump on things before the feds FINALLY decided to act.
But, but, but…
There’s a half trillion dollar slush fund to bail out corporations! Doesn’t that make everybody happy! Yippee!
OT: For those concerned about Trump’s recent polling numbers, here’s an encouraging essay from a Democratic pollster.

Trump is going to stick it to New York state. Death, destruction, and suffering do not trouble him in the least. Governor Cuomo is going to have to play hardball with Trump, which means hurting him in his wallet. The only thing he cares about.
I believe NY has indictments all ready for the moment tRUmp is no longer pResident. If they only would rip them up and gaurantee to never bring the like up again they would receive all the funding they need.
As I wrote elsewhere, blue States aren’t going to change their election perspective no matter what Trump does. He’s never going to win NY. He’s never going to win NYC. He knows that. This is all spite - same with the Congress. These are the same people who, after Hurricane Sandy devastated NY and NJ, pretty much gave nothing for disaster relief, insisting that the Northeast just take care of it itself. It’s the same attitude here.
Now, let it hit red-state Gulf Coast, and there’s an entirely different story. This isn’t new. No one should be surprised. Been this way for decades.
Once again, Trump’s biggest problem is that he listens to conservatives. The smartest thing he could have done was to take things seriously in January and gotten everyone prepared including a big spending spree in purple and blue states. Even if this were somehow a hoax, he’d have looked presidential during an election year.
But instead, he listened to conservatives and thus backed himself into a corner of doom, just like what happened to Bush every time he listened to conservatives. Imagine the Bush years if we hadn’t invaded Iraq, hadn’t cut taxes, didn’t hire Dick Cheney, and saved New Orleans from Katrina. You can’t do it, because there’s nothing left. Trump’s not the problem. Republicans are.
“Governor, I would like you to do us a favor…”
That’s because it’s all you liberal failures at governance’s fault that this is happening.
See? Trump already got word out to red Murikkka that it’s NY’s fault when the virus gets to them? CA? Liberal. WA? Liberal. CO? Liberal. Louisiana? Liberal governor. This is all the liebrals faults and is God’s way of finally showing in a way nobody can deny that liberal governance means failure across the board…not to mention that they are deliberately doing this to the country to try to take Trump down. But Truump is the Chosen One. He already identified the cure. He already fixed all the equipment problems. He already fixed the economy yesterday and today. And he won’t be beaten by the heathen liberals’ attempts to sicken the entire country with a plague caused by their communist buddy, China, and which their liberal socialist inability to govern has allowed to run amok through their filthy, disease-ridden, illegal filled sanctuary cities.

came across a story discussing a recent Oxford Univ. modelling effort, where the author’s reported conclusion was that millions have already been exposed and developed immunity, tripping down to the comments section was like reading a trumpian diatribe: I already had a flu with COVID like symptoms in December, so I am likely immune; the Chinese lie, this thing has been going around since September most likely, so it’s no big deal…blah, blah, blah, interpretations based on conjecture and innuendo.
so my retort: if any of those things were the case, did it get deadlier? why hasn’t there been the emergency level conditions until now? does anyone really believe that the financial hit taken by all, especially sports leagues around the globe, would be the reality if this wasn’t serious? that lack of cognitive ability by so many is really disturbing, and I am not bright by my standards

And as we all know, hotels will be the very first thing on the list.
I am really tired of getting robbed and getting back 1% while the rich get to keep the other 99%. Whose going to buy back my stock? Who is going to artificially inflate the value of my retirement? Who is going to tip me off next time the government decides to shit the bed and fumble away trillions in wealth.
One thing is for sure - neither me nor anybody I know is too big to fail.
AS written now, the bill expressly disallows any money going to any Trump business or Trump family business.
