The Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) backpedaled this weekend after posting a now-deleted tweet falsely referring to the four Ukrainian regions that Russia illegally annexed as “Ukrainian-occupied territories.”

The lies are getting pathetic. Time zones? The internet ( twitter ) is all on the same time zone.

They post this shit thinking it’s tough. That it makes their soft pudgy selves look tough. Reality hits. It backfires. And then they lie. Over and over again.

How can any reasonable person vote for these so called conservatives?

Let’s do this again, Matt Schlapp, the sound of two pork chops hitting the ground a second apart.

schlapp prayed and god told him to tone it down lest the grift come to an end.

CCCPAC

We’ll see who’s old enough for that reference

CPAC chair Matt Schlapp …he had missed it “due to my travel into a distant time zone.”

Well at least he had a reason. Likely the CPAC official homing pigeon with the message got lost in the hurricane.

Good move cpac. Deleting the tweet will surely keep independent voters from knowing republicans are the party of putin and the enemies of democracy everywhere it shows its ugly head.

After you’ve garnered the independent vote in November you can stop pretending to be reasonable people and go back to being loud and proud putin loving, democracy hating assholes and blast out your true feelings until election season, 2024.

But does it? The people who they are speaking to see it and it registers. The rest is performance art. The “controversy” will have dissipated in another 24 hours. But the people they were speaking to have gotten the message.

Schlapp’s wife Mercedes co-founded a media consulting firm with him, and she was also Trump’s Director of Strategic Communications and a media advisor to George W. Bush

This was no accident that they can try to blame on some unsupervised intern.

To be fair, there is a well-known time lag for electronic communications to the 1850s.

CPAC should just come right out and own this.
Which is what will happen if the GOP takes the House or Senate.

They can’t… so what does that tell us about our fellow citizens?

Trump could be locked up or drop dead but that would not solve the problem of 76 million shitty people in America.

Oh, it doesn’t ever really go away. Others are more than willing to share!

The retweets calling them out aren’t half bad.

Well,…there it is.

Many (most???) voters just aren’t rational (reasonable) actors, but you already know this:

Asteroid? Yellowstone Supervolcano? Course we’d all go – healthy tissue, diseased tissue and all that.

ETA Best to just outvote them, eh?

I’m old enough to remember the GOP attacking Democrats nonstop as “useful idiots” for the Kremlin.

Those were the days…
