Conservative Political Action Committee chair Matt Schlapp made an ominous prediction on Sunday about the potential consequences Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) faces from other conservatives for voting to convict and remove President Donald Trump.
Says so much, but nothing we don’t already know.
“This year I would actually be afraid for his physical safety people are so mad at him,” he added.
That tells you far more about your party than it does about Romney.

You think some people are mad about how Romney voted? Doesn’t hold a candle to how many people are mad with the way the Senate process was handled/not handled. Criminals all!

The old saying seems to apply that “Democrats hate their base, Republicans fear theirs.”
Translation: Romney has been “cast out” from “The Body” of CPAC for daring to upset DEAR LEADER and CPAC is not responsible if any “follower” decides to “take revenge” for DEAR LEADER.

I heard on some podcast that the DNC spends most of its pathetic funds on consultants. If true, then crying for the Democrats to run ads about today’s (and tomorrow, and the day after) republican insanity is wasted. Counting on Bloomberg’s money may be our devil’s bargain, but if that’s what it takes to show the perfidy of the republicans, then I’m for it.
The GOP Acquittal by the already loathsome Republican Senators now makes even more sense, in a practical sense:
