Cotton Balks At Cruz’s Attack On Election Results, Says It Would Establish ‘Unwise Precedents’

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), who is seen as a potential contender for the 2024 presidential race, on Sunday night spoke out against his GOP colleagues’ planned attempt to nullify the Electoral College’s votes when Congress officially seals President-elect Joe Biden’s victory on Wednesday.

"It will only embolden those Democrats who want to erode further our system of constitutional government.”

Thank you for not joining the coup, and now go throw yourself off a cliff. That would also contribute to the republic’s well-being, you buzzard-necked wack job.

When you’ve lost Tom Cotton, you know you’re totally deranged in your thinking.

A phrase I never thought would be uttered.

“I’m grateful for what the president accomplished over the past four years, which is why I campaigned vigorously for his reelection,” Cotton said. “But objecting to certified electoral votes won’t give him a second term—it will only embolden those Democrats who want to erode further our system of constitutional government.”

Sorry, but his decision had nothing to do with it being “right” or a “good” one.

Instead, he’s clearly seeing how joining his fellow R-Scums in this lemming-like plunge over the cliff’s edge would hurt his future Presidential aspirations. No doubt about it as he’s calulated the +/- factors and staying out is better for him.

Cottontop just realizes how damaging the vote being forced will be to GOP reelection futures.

But I fully concur on the cliff strategery.

after the release of Trump’s outrageous teleconference with Georgia and the repeated / incessant exhortations to “find” votes - only the stupid & willfully blind can even weakly attempt to support this charade… if they have an once of brains - they can’t claim ignorance …

The Cruz - Hawley ship of fools … may see some departures - - or they are getting ready to take their cyanide capsules & perish in the great sea of treason!

They are all running for President and ‘polling’ as fast as they can. AGAIN. Not a single ethic, value or moral among them.

It looks like Cruz doesn’t have any friends in the Senate. Who knew?

OT but fun reporting on The Call this morning. Seems Raffensperger was a bit taken aback with Graham asking him to throw out perfectly legitimate votes, so they decided to take precautions when Trump called, and they said they wouldn’t release it unless he misrepresented it or attacked them. Which he did, and here we are. I’ve often said that when people know there’s an abusive situation going on they will sometimes respond by documenting it, and the abusers can come to grief because of it.
