10-18 years in jail. What Sweden uses unless you are a mass murderer or serial killer or cop killer. And where anyone under 18 can’t be sentenced to life.

So you’re going by bloodless guidelines on the cold facts and not admitting any aggravating circumstances? It verges on undeniable that these are planned political murders. He shot those people not because of what they did but because of who they are. The fact that he’s already being lionized as a martyr to a cause should tell you something. They understand what he did and why. I’m all for mercy when it’s merited but I don’t see that here.

One half of the House has as its only purpose to be disruptive. I will presume the GOP achieved that parity because 1/2 the electorate also has as number one on its priority list for prospective legislators that they be disruptive.

Look at some of the European and Asian legislatures and the physical battles that ensue on the floor with punches being thrown, along with chairs and anything that isn’t nailed down.

Not sure I wanna go that direction. And yeah, we might be headed in that direction.
