A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things.
Former Alabama House Speaker Mike Hubbard (R), who is serving a 28-month prison sentence on felony ethics charges, allegedly schemed to have language added to a prison bill during the legislature’s special session in September that would lead to his release.
You’ve got to admit, though, Alabama Guy is pretty clever, talking about “Martians” instead of law enforcement officers, because Martians and law enforcement people are obviously two different things and anyone listening to the call would figure it was just regular, harmless conversation about Martians.
The House will vote to censure Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) and strip him of his two committee assignments today over his violent video depicting him killing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
… … . …
Some day it will be trump’s turn to face the music but until then we have Gosar standing on the House floor listening to his censure vote.
December 15th sounds like a delightful time for the GOP to shut down the government, what with holidays and everything. We can then be treated to news stories about how much more our Christmas dinners will cost us, what with inflation and all, as well as a Dems in Disarray montage blaming the shutdown on Biden.
And then my husband will tell me to stop shouting at the television news.
Jack Posobiec is a serial liar, propagandist, and evil person. He has no backchannels to the Rittenhouse jury, and US Marshals are not privy to the inner workings of jury deliberations. Consider everything he tweets as bullshit and do not give him the benefit of your clicks or attention.
The process of conducting fair and free elections is certainly under attack by a militant angry minority who would want to impose a totalitarian regime that conforms to their biases and prejudices and interests … but they are a minority …
This is good and well-deserved. However, Rep. Gosar is obviously mentally unstable, so his reprehensible conduct is somewhat understandable. The GOP pol I find to be really scary is Kevin McCarthy. I never liked the term ‘empty suit’, but that truly seems to illustrate Mr. McCarthy. This is a man who has better than even odds of becoming the next Speaker of the House, despite an absolute lack of any moral compass or core principles. Given his position, in a normal world issuing a public rebuke of Rep. Gosar’s actions at the very least should have been a no-brainer. The fact that Rep. McCarthy was unwilling to do so is really chilling.
