Congressman Recalls Boebert Giving Tour Days Before January 6

So you’re hypothesizing that maybe Lauren Boebert, two days into her new job, had already located Jim Clyburn’s super-secret unmarked office and arranged to personally guide the insurrectionists to its location?

This photograph annoys me on a lot of levels: The three seated have their holds all wrong, red on the left is not practicing trigger discipline, Barney Trouble to her left has a short-barreled machine gun, absolutely infantile. Red, red wine has a large caliber hunting rifle done out like a pretend big gun, the smart one looks like someone quietly explaining to a drunk woman that Jesus wants her get into the back of a van, and witch’s tits is holding a gun that can legally shoot only single rounds, and .223s at that.

The kids are doing fine. At least the one on the right is aiming, if at the photographer, and risky business is at least pointing the gun away.

They are frauds on their own level too.

Or, you know, like most of her brethren, she never travels outside the Fox News bubble.

This just doesn’t give me the “this is beginning of deer season” vibe.

Twitter suspended her account for a few days, and is now being sued because she blocked someone.

I was the one suggesting that she may have giving a tour to her family. As far as knowing the Capitol, one of her staffers, who does know the Capitol could have been actually guiding them. I see either possibility as being equally likely, or hell… maybe her family was in that crowd. I was simply playing Devil’s advocate. I’ve loathed this woman since last spring when she started doing interviews on Denver news stations. I’m absolutely not a fan of her in any way.

You’re assuming they paid attention on their reconnaissance?

(A onetime staffer friend took me around a couple times, and I could no more have retraced my steps there than in the original macy’s.)

Good lord. I’d like to hear just one example from these buffoons of how they’ve been racially discriminated against. I’m starting to get sick of these clowns.

It’s important not to jump to conclusions…we all likely think that she’s a QAnon nut, and not worth of being a member of Congress. But, that doesn’t mean we should assume that she was a conspirator in the Capitol invasion…evidence has to be gathered before that happens.

With that in mind, I think the fact that we’re not hearing anything from the investigation about this means that they think some members of Congress were involved in something that looks suspicious. It’s possible that constituents who got a tour were planning the insurrection on their own, or that they were led around by people (members or staff) who were in on it and gave them cover. We just don’t know, and the fact that we can’t say really says a lot about how bad the current Republicans are. The conclusion of this investigation is going to be explosive, simply because they are going to find rioters among those who took the tours…how they got on those tours, and if they were assisted, is going to be the key thing.

As much as I loathe some of the Republicans, I just don’t want to believe that any of them are so unpatriotic that they would encourage storming the Capitol and killing Democrats. If they have really reached that point, then the republic is in more trouble than we really want to contemplate…members trying to have other members captured and executed is way beyond anything in our history since the lead up to the Civil War.

Yes, but, if we credit Rep. Clyburn, someone paid enough attention to be able to find his second office.

It has been suggested her mom was in the crowd barking orders which included knowledge of the building lay out. I’ve seen the footage and agree it’s quite possible. Again I ask: what’s the hold up?

eta Here’s a link to the story I reads

A negative number?

A congressman-elect from Louisiana died Tuesday evening from complications of Covid-19 days before he was set to be sworn into office, his spokesman announced. He was 41.

I think that the current generation of republicans have been lying so thoroughly about so many things, both to the public and to themselves, that many of them have completely lost track of reality. So they might have been for the insurrection and the “neutralization” or “elimination” of their foes without seriously confronting the part with bullets and real blood. A little like the mob they summoned, where people storming the capitol were confused the the police were trying to stop them.

They need to step it up if they want to out shine the Fiore clan.

Oh believe me, I am not defending crazypants Lauren Boebert. I’m just saying it’s a little premature, based on the currently available facts, to conclude that she or any other person working inside the Capitol was reconnoitering the building with the insurrectionists. If they did so, there would be ample security video showing it, and probably more than a few social media videos posted too. These people were mostly not especially shy about documenting their activities.

Investigation still ongoing. We’ll hear something more official when someone is ready to charge.
