Chief Justice Roberts Says Roe Leaker Would Be ‘Foolish’ To Think Leak Will Affect SCOTUS’ Work

I do believe you need a Constitutional amendment for that and there is no way in hell Republicans will allow that.

Speaking of Bush v Gore… how many of the current SCOTUS justices were involved with that absolute stinker of a case? Kavanagh, I know… and feel like maybe Amy Coney Barrett? others?
No care for democracy among this lot.

“The work of the Court will not be affected in any way,”

Google translate returned “My mind is made up. Don’t confuse me with the facts.”

What’s wrong with her eye? :astonished:

Fortunately, there is no stipulation in the Constitution about the number of sitting Justices on SCOTUS. It’s been codified elsewhere, I believe, but it’s not in the Constitution.

Looks a bit like that which my 12 year old grandson has. It’s a muscle weakness that can be corrected by surgery. Forget what it’s called. My grandson wanted the surgery when he was younger, but now, not so much.

I mean, it is the eye and the surgery takes place mighty darned close to it.

Now what would happen if the Congress does pass that 18 year term limit for the court…AND THE COURT THORWS IT OUT AS UNCONSTITUTIONAL?

We know the leak won’t affect the unaccountable zealots… so did the leaker.

The leak is to bring the issue into primary season, not be lost to the summer…

Suck on that John

But he was born with the weakness, I’d guess. This is new for her.

N they wouldn’t as it relates to court expansion?

I would fully expect this totally corrupted court to throw out any law that expands their size.

Yep - he’s had it all his life. Looks the same on her as it does on him.

This is kind of an extreme photo of his eye (as he is smiling), the proportion is correct:

But you’re 4 expanding the court, yes?

I think her case might be something different since she wasn’t born with it. Botox gone wrong possibly.

Cute kid, though, your grandson. Has a very mischievous look.

“If the person behind it thinks that it will affect our work, that’s just foolish.”

True, it will not affect their work. However, the leak has already worked to paint conservative members of today’s SCOTUS pariahs among America’s next generation of leaders.

A decision that mirrors the leak will just add to the momentum to change the political landscape that will render Alito’s wish-list erosion of rights, if not impossible, then improbable.

Might even be an infection.

A little more normal photo. Wish I could remember what it was called, as he has (as you stated earlier) had it since birth.

ETA: He has decided he wants to work with his hands, already (at 12). He’s fixed a number of machines with a 16 year old friend and works his tail off nearly every weekend at the farm, during goat snuggles - he runs the store sales and knows the product well enough that daughter and son in law just set him loose and let him go. Before the store, dad was making his famous Swanky Sauce ® and selling it during special events at a local grocery store. Got to the point where the store manager told son in law that if grandson couldn’t come, the store would be VERY disappointed. The kid is a chip off the old block - same birthday as dad (born on dad’s 30th birthday).

The crisis in our democracy he predicted two decades ago is now more extreme than it has ever been. From the assaults on the rule of law of the Trump years to the attempted coup; from the corrosive effect of the Big Lie to using the Senate to pack the courts and render them into engines of pure politics—Rob called it.

The “point of no return” he warned me of is looming.
