Chief Justice Roberts Says Roe Leaker Would Be ‘Foolish’ To Think Leak Will Affect SCOTUS’ Work

It’s wise to get nervous any time a Republican uses the word “integrity.”

The majority is for striking down Roe. For me, is Roberts angry enough to join em?

This seems a lot like what villains in comics say. Only he didn’t use the words “will not foil our plans”

Whatever they are saying, what they want is still unpopular and wrong.

The “outrage” lies in what they wish for.

“If the person behind it thinks that it will affect our work, that’s just foolish.”

It’s easy to destroy things, building them is what’s hard.

As I listen to all of this outrage about how someone dared leak some work product that was supposed to be held until June when they could magically drop a fully polished10 ton turd on all of us, I cannot help but think of the outrage the Wizard felt when Toto pulls away the curtain to reveal that the wizard is a fake.

People be working overtime to bury the lede on this one.

“We’re going to tear this country apart and destroy democracy regardless of these leaks.” Roberts continued.

As Tx noted above, there were no lies. It was evasion and homilies. What was needed was senators with open eyes that see the degradation of repubs & their politics. One of them needed to shout at Cry-Baby, Gorsuch-as, and Miss Amy that Roe had been the law of the land for 50 years and that as a representative of the people, that to the senator it would be necessary for them to say under oath one way or the other if there could be any circumstance in which they would vote against it. Oh the shock!! “Freely deliberating minds”. They have had lifetimes to deliberate this issue.

Roberts is a joke, a laughing stock, and a Roger B Taney. A FUBAR CJ.

What was revealed was the actual reasoning behind their decision. The planned “Final” release would look a lot different. Possible this plan has changed. Don’t know if it was intended for the left or the right. But somebody wanted people to know the actual basis.

Well stated. At this point, it is not just the emperor who has no clothes - DC has become a virtual nudist camp.

While the republicans controlled the Senate? Sure, Jan.

Spare us the bullshit John Roberts. You preside over a totally corrupted court and it’s had no integrity since it illegally installed Dumbya in 2000.

Yah, poor Johnnie. History’s not going to view him well. Hopefully some stuff will be written to plague him while he’s still alive. You can’t play both ends against the middle all the time and expect to come out looking upright.

The timing of the decision in December seems related to the desire to not call out Thomas’ conflict of interest. Alito and Thomas got caught conspiring to delay an official act of Congress and they hurriedly wrote this decision.

Now when Alito and Thomas get called out for conspiracy the right will yell that the left is seeking political retribution for overturning Roe.

Then someone should ask Roberts why he did it…
